@Christofian True.

@Christofian We can do like StackOverflow and mention in the tag that they shouldn't be used just because some people will pay attention to it. As for the rest we'll just have to stay on top of it and remove them as we find them.

@JohnConde we could, but I still think it would be easier just to blacklist it. We don't need the tag, it's only going to give us extra work (e.g. someone tags a question with just the tag, and we have to add more tags), and I can't think of a single situation where we would want a question to have that tag.

@Christofian I'm all for asking them. The worst thing they can do is say no.

Let's do it then
Also, I'm working on removing , because 99% of the time people mean or

When you are finished do you think we should make a synonym of ? Or ?
FYI, once the mod elections are over I plan on the community doing a tag clean up like StackOverflow was doing recently before they ended it because it became too controversial. I think we'll learn from their mistakes and have a discussion about which tags need to be removed, clarified, synonymed, etc, first and then we can do our clean up.

@JohnConde IDK half of them should have been , the other half should have been

@Christofian In that case we'll rule out making a synonym

@JohnConde the problem with that is getting people involved. from my experiance not a lot of people check the chat or the meta
the election turnout was better than I expected though (webmasters.stackexchange.com/badges/101/constituent and webmasters.stackexchange.com/badges/100/caucus), so mayby we'll get more interest in that

@Christofian The number of voters we have in this election is 3 or 4 times as many as we had in the last election and I'm sure there are still more people who need to vote. Hopefully that's an indicator in greater participation in the site as a whole.
Then again, voting is easy and rewards you with a badge.

just did a quick google search for questions about activity on meta sites:
@JohnConde I think that's why: participating on the meta is a bit harder.
However, the election also had the red link on the community buliten board: mayby using that for this will help
anyway, I got to go, talk to you later
