Lol. Waiting to read and evaluate.

@curiousdannii Haha, didn't mean to call you out! You seem like a very diligent person, so much so that if you didn't get to it, I'd assume something happened to you rather than that you didn't get around to it.

@PeterTurner This is actually pretty concerning. I wish I thought you were joking because this is exactly backwards of how it should actually work. If you want the mod power just to do the opposite of what the community is currently doing then you would be abusing the role. The moderator role is supposed to enforce community guidelines, not buck them. Changing guidelines involves convincing people of meta that it's a good idea, not just mod-hammering your own questions open.
In fact in my experience being a mod has made it harder to keep my own questions open. Where I might have gotten a pass or some editing help before, having the diamond after my name means most users expect more compliance out of me and hold the screws to my questions.
And, as all of us on the mod team have been doing, I recuse myself from handling most flags on my own posts or forcing my own questions open. If I can't edit them in a way that the community at large likes, they don't make it.

Q: Badges loading broken in election statistics

CalebWe have an current election running and I noticed the badges are not loading in the election statistics like they should be. It just hangs forever loading badge information: Unfortunately I blew off reporting this for a couple days figuring it would resolve itself, but it doesn't seem to be a ...

@KorvinStarmast Have you considered throwing your hat in? (And I don't suggest this because you just flattered me on meta, I was thinking about it before I promise!) Your flag activity hasn't been as heavy as some of the other candidates but what I've seen of it suggests you grok the SE system pretty well.
You still need to make it official here though ;-)

@Caleb Well, I probably won't be elected then. People are probably getting sick of elections with consequences!

@Caleb Great minds think alike. :-) Will "make it official."

For those who may not get my "vote for me and I'll set you free" ref: it's a nod to the Temptations (song=Ball of Confusion) that's been with me since about seventh grade.
@Caleb "I agree with (fredsbend) meta history is probably the single best way to judge a candidate .. flag history also show you their interest in janitorial work and ability to judge the state of a situation and what needs intervention." I am more of a janitorial candidate in that case. "Vote for me and I'll clean the pee!"
