Hello, I would like to have a confirmation on this sentence: 水がきれいなので、下の方までよく見えます。下のほう means under water not the bottom of the water, right? If I would like to say the bottom of the water, then, I should use 底, 水の底 or 水底. Is my understanding ok?

The quote [あんた君たち元気いいなあ。なにかいいことでもあったのかい?] is trasnlated as "You guys look energetic, did something good happen?" What I don't get here is でも, I unserstando the particle も as also, but adding the で to it [でも] will it become something like "in also"?
