The rendered Markdown doesn't show it, but Unicode bracket also works to format furigana

@nhahtdh The edit doesn't really do much. It's going to be a dispute between using "" and 「」to wrap Japanese sentences in a English paragraph, which I imagine different people having different aesthetic opinions of. I suppose the furigana edit makes it slightly neater when viewed horizontally, but it will introduce spaces vertically and it might break the shape of the paragraph

Overall it's not a particularly significant change which is why I think the edit was declined.

@Flaw I'm not looking for reason why it's declined, since I'm rather used to the culture here. I'm looking for another independent review of the suggested edit.

probably not for the reason of the unicode brackets versus curly brackets

both work for furigana as far as markdown is concerned

^I guessed that you rejected based on the "too minor reason". That user who rejected with Unicode bracket reason is uninformed about the syntax

Well, I can't really support my stand for "too minor reason" very well. Sometimes I make minor edits just because.

I think furigana in this case doesn't neaten up the paragraph because it introduces line spacings within the paragraph

it might look neater if the Japanese sentences were in a separate line

that comes at a cost of making the overall post size larger
