This ~もの is a construction to indicate having a tendency towards for things (in science) and for people their character.

Yes, I found the physical format books, but theyre a bit expensive overseas. I'll buy them when I go to Japan, in July.

@Daniel while the though that this もの = 者 = people seems helpful, that's not the entire picture of what is happening there. Consider もの is also 物 and several other grammatical things. Also using もの for people is either a type of self-deprecating polite speech (謙譲語) or an insulting way to talk about others. (In this case, it has some of the connotations of the polite speech).
