My friend started that "wanikani" program that is so popular lately!

She said she's learning radicals now.

Today I learned 寄宿舎 can be pronounced with three devoiced vowels in a row

The NHK accent dictionary says that the first and third vowels are devoiced. The second vowel, though, is a high vowel between two voiceless consonants, so I guess it shouldn't be surprising that it would get devoiced too
