@sepideh Hi. I am just wondering why you think you need to promote this site in German if you say you can't speak it. Most Germans, especially those who will find their way to the SE network will be fairly fluent in English. At least they will have so much knowledge in English that a German translation may be of little help. A German promotion may even lead to confusion amongst German speaking people as to the language all posts should be written in. You probably won't accept German there.

8:20 AM
@Takkat I've explained more about it in a comment of this post
the links in the posts will be in English. I just wanted those posts in order to enable the people who are searching in their local language see those posts.
and also because as facebook suggests posts in local languages get more likes
I also for example cannot post in a 10000 member group of remote sensing
in facebook if it is declared that all of the posts should be in spanisg, german, etc
They will surely be some people in those local groups who are fluent in English
but I cannot post in that group and inform them
Also people pay more attention to the posts that are in their mother tongue
well are you a german who is fluent in english?
what do you think about the above translations
????
would you tell me your opinion and correct if there are mistakes?

Thing is that if you post in a German community in German, people expect you to be able to understand and to also answer their German comments. They don't if you address them in English. If you advertise a site in German we tend to expect that this site will be in German too. Everybody learns English from primary school over here.
For many technical terms such as remote sensing we may not even use a German translation in everyday business talk.
(or if we translate it we are not being taken seriously)

well I wanted to post them just in my own facebook page and timeline. But yes you are right. If someone comments in german, i'll be able to understand their purpose but I can just answer in English

@sepideh thinking of it... I can't just guess a nice and fitting German expression for Commitment - this would make for a good and intersting question on our main site.
@sepideh Die im StackExchange Netzwerk neu vorgeschlagene Q&A Seite über Fernerkundung und Programmetrie befindet sich nun in der "Commitment"-Phase.
^^this would be a suggestion for the first paragraph... but it is rather "Denglish".

you mean a combination of english and german?
so the following is whole wrong?
inen Vorschlag für die Erstellung einen Fernerkundung und Photogrammetrie Q&A Website in StackExchange Netzwerk ist in Engagement Phase jetzt

@sepideh Anleitung, wie man schöne Beiträge erstellt, und alles weitere Wissenswerte zum"Remote Sensing & Photogrammetry StackExchange" Entwurf.
@sepideh it is "holperig", as we would say in German.

ok then
seems its really a hard job

@sepideh Du kannst dich auch auf unserer Homepage oder auf der "Definition Phase is Over" Seite umsehen.
@sepideh I gave you some suggestions, but it just feels better to address people in English. Maybe someone else will comment here?

8:56 AM
are the translations made by google for commitment wrong?
or the collins english to german dictionary?

9:09 AM
don't we have a tense such present perfect in german
???
as is suggested here
for example how can I say "I've summarized all efforts since last year"
ich resümieren haben???
or
ich habe geresümieret???
ich habe geresümieret alle Anstrengungen???

Q: German order in English numbers?

Vadim PushtaevIn Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Gandalf says: „Five-and-forty leagues as the crow flies we have come, though many long miles further our feet have walked.“ What is „five-and-forty“? Is it really the same thing as German „fünfundvierzig“? Can I use it for any other number or is it just for „forty ...

9:47 AM
ich habe alle Anstrengungen geresümieret?

10:37 AM
Fourth sentence: • There I've summarized all the efforts since last year and also have linked to valuable tutorials which introduce the StackExchange network and make you more familiar with what I'm trying to do
• dort, ich habe alle Anstrengungen seit letztem Jahr resümiert und habe wertvolle Tutorials verlinkt, dass einführen das StackExchange Netzwerk und vertraut machen Sie mit was ich versuche zu tun

10:50 AM
fifth sententence: • Let's make a website for remote sensing and photogrammetry real. Let's all press "commit" button!

you should be clear whether to address people with "du" or "Sie".

@Takkat how should I understand where to use "du" or "Sie"?

@sepideh "Sie" is the formal form for a professional audience. "Du" is informal but widely used in the Internets among young people.

ok
so for my purpose du is better

Apple and Ikea address their customers with "Du", whereas Mercedes or Deutsche Bank always use "Sie".

11:06 AM
how should I say as much as + adjective
for example as much as possible
are there any equivalent for german?
• Please share or like the post as much as possible.
Bitte teilen oder gefallen der Beitrag

@sepideh Bitte leite diesen Beitrag an so viele wie möglich weiter.
or the like.

@Takkat thanks

Facebook share or like are a bit hard to translate.. german.stackexchange.com/questions/4435/…

11:54 AM
This will help it be seen on more news feeds and it will likely be seen by more interested people.
german form:
dies wird es helfen gesehen werden auf mehr Newsfeeds und es wird wohl gesehen werdevon mehr Interessenten

@sepideh Damit wird es auf mehreren Newsfeeds gelesen und kann so mehr Interessierte erreichen. <-- very loose translation

12:11 PM
and finally
• Please share the page and invite others to like it in order to have more committers and probably a successful launch
• bitte teilen die Seite und laden andere mögen es um zu haben mehr engagierte Menschen und wohl eine erfolgreich Webseite

@sepideh Bitte teile diese Seite mit möglichst vielen Leuten Freunden und Bekannten, damit möglichst viele bei uns mitmachen und unser Start ein Erfolg wird.

Thanks for all your help
as an ending to my question, I copy all the english and german sentences that were translated here. Does everybody agree with them?
