Hello world. I have a question. Wilhelm Busch:Freunde:"...Sie liebten beiden Nachbars Käthchen,"
Ein blondgelocktes kleines Mädchen
why 'blondgelocktes' and not 'blodlockendes'?
*sorry 'blondlockendes'
like she was curly and she no longer is?

@gofun passive vs. active
she's curly herself, she's not making anything curly

is it like a property of past participle ? Do we have an article about it on Main?
singende Vögel sing themselves and don't make anyone to sing no?

well singen per se is an active thing so the comparison is ill chosen
while gelockt is about a property
inherently passive
I feel like I'm stumbling around now, so I'll retreat to "I'm not sure" now, sorry

no it's actually make sense, I just never thought about it in that context...
Is anstrengende Wochen passive or active?
or öffnende Tür?
Learning German like learning philosophy, you start doubting everything. She might have inherited her curliness or she made her hairs curly and which participle should be used, if we don't know what really happened?

12:26 PM
@GofunDake if it's curly right now, that doesn't matter

I will go ask on main. Thank you for your efforts

no problem

Hello chat-people. Can someone please explain me what role plays hätte in the sentence:
die Aktion hat rund 50 Millionen Euro gekostet und viele meinen, das Geld hätte man durchaus auch sinnvoller nutzen können.
why not 'das Geld könnte man sinnvoller nutzen'
Ohne die Hilfe von deinem Bruder hättest du keinen Führerschein. I understand what hätte does here but the sentence above leaves me baffled.

Q: Why are bathroom symbols in Germany 00?

AlexaI'm sitting in Hofbrau House in Munich and just noticed that the signs for the bathroom are a symbol of a man and woman with a 00? Why is this the case?
