@diego I think this is what you were thinking of: the8x8theory.tumblr.com/post/154083004221/…
tl;dr, if it's a photo of a physical card, it's a leak. Otherwise, if it's only in user-posted places online, that's pretty darn suspicious. The official things all go either on wizards.com or some obvious legitimate place (sites that regularly publish articles, wizards employees on social media, 'famous' mtg people, etc) and they'll generally refer to them as "my/our preview card".
So if you can find one of those, it's good, if not, suspicious. Also if it's not official preview time yet, suspicious.
Also there's usually a reddit thread for every single previewed card at this point, and they mostly link directly to the source, or someone does in a highly voted comment, so that can be a good place to look if you're suspicious about a card.
I don't think there've historically been many unauthorized leaks during the official preview time, either. The first opportunities to leak are earlier (e.g. when stores get promo cards), and leaks get more attention earlier.

I want to point out that the card in the post in question was in fact leaked, from Wizards' official website, before they intended to reveal it officially, but after they had officially revealed other cards.

Still before they'd started the big previews, just after a couple individual cards. But yeah, it's an example of one that was harder to figure out the deal than some of the past really obvious leaks.
(and I still don't know exactly what happened, kind of stopped looking after I saw it ended up on the official page, whatever the deal was with the promo art)

@Rainbolt This must be how Neo felt after learning kung fu. That video progressed onto a Go tournament and I suddenly understand what's happening.
