I customized the OOTB web parts in SharePoint 2013 server, I need to move my web parts to another server without taking site backup, I tried Export options it's working fine ,But It's very difficult to add manually, So is it possible to deploy the exported web part programmatically by using scripts. Please suggest some idea?
Any idea bro, While Restoring the Site collection out custom pagelayout not working bro, we need to deploy our page layout solution so its replaced our backup pagelayout

there is another option to simplify this manually ? but tell me how many web part you have also how many page ?

10:14 PM
so I lost the OOTb webparts in that site

are you applied backup and restore and not move custom page layout ?

I have 5 webparts for 2 pages bro
ya bro I tried, It throws to page not found page, After Restoring the custom page layout Its working fine
I took backup then I restored to another server, while accessing that page it's redirects to pagenot found page bro

are you tried to use the content database upgrade ?

this should solve this issue , but no problem , let me tell you two solution for this
but let's review your steps
you run the backup cmd at source farm
then restore it at the new farm right

10:23 PM
ya bro your right

then when you try to open page it give you page not found
so are you use any custom developed solution
are all web web part's is out of the box

I have custom visual studio page layout bro

are you deployed this wsp at the destination farm

while accessing to that page ,It's redirect to that not found page
ya bro I deployed after restoriation the backup

and still you have this issue ?

10:26 PM
No bro I have not that issue, but I lost the out box box web parts, Because my custom page layout replaced the backup page layout
*now

okay
so you now try to export it from source page the upload it and add to destination page and find difficulty on this , right

ya bro your right

are you uploaded the exported webpart to web part gallary at once
or you tried to upload it when add web part one by one

No bro, I tried by adding one by one

it's not best practice , let me send to you the link yto upload all exported web part and set them to new category so you can easily add it without more hard programing or power shell work

10:31 PM
oh okay Thanks

got to your root site and site setting > below web designer gallary selet web parts
so you should get this link
upload all web parts and define to then a specific group as exported web part

I can't access this link bro

now if you tried to add web part you will find a category with the specified name and you can add them easily as any web part
forget the link and follow the steps that i mentioned , this link related to my environment
go to your root site and site setting > below web designer gallery select web parts

okay bro, I will do
ya bro I went
Step2 pls

from the above ribbon upload all exported web parts and set a specific group as for example exported web part

10:40 PM
okay bro sure
FYI -By clicking the Upload document button I uploaded the webparts and choose the group for own value Ex EXported

great

go to now to your page ,
add new web part and check this category name

ya bro we found that

now the category is exist for all pages with all exported list and no need to upload it one by one , so you can add it easily at any place that you need
and at any page

10:47 PM
we found all the web parts in our category

are you face any difficulty now like before ?
i think in your case you have 5 web part and 2 page so the time needed to run script or develop a solution is long than to do this :)

Now it's great bro. Thanks lot, but we have requirement to add this as automatically bro

:D
