in my experience, even though my own monitors are calibrated for the correct game level and I intentionally have my laptop monitor more faded, the outcome is still unpredicatble due to user's monitors
for example, for the Math.se site, I had to change a lot coloring post launch. I found out a lot math people(probably use school computers) have really poor gamma settings.
so i'll make whatever changes necessary to ensure majority of the users can see content clearly.
I'll change the font on the buttons too. I'm using Courier for now. But I think it renders rather poorly on Windows. I think the keyboard effect is almost "computery" enough.
all the action buttons on the site, granted there aren't many of them. "Add" "Post Question" etc
As for the other changes people suggested, I'll wait on them a bit. I think it has a lot to do with getting used to the new design. I normally wait for a week or so. If people still feel strongly about it, I'll make changes.
