Proposed Q&A site for linguists, teachers and students of the Semitic languages, both ancient and modern (Akkadian, Amharic, Arabic, Hebrew, Phoenician, Syriac, Tigrinya, etc.).

^^^ Yet another try for a site where you can ask questions about Hebrew langugage, this time with a broader scope. I recommend supporting this proposal, as it would make a great parallel site for Mi Yodeya, and maybe this broader scope has a chance of making it.
I don't know if we should make anything of this, but has anyone seen or heard from mevaqesh recently (i.e. since January 16, when a very lively exchange took place here in this room)? I feel like he doesn't regularly take 2 week breaks, and hope he didn't leave over that argument. That would be a huge loss!
