Q: Visualizing the Rebbe during marital relations

bondonkRabbi Slifkin wrote in a recent post that: ... in some Chabad chosson/kallah classes, they are taught that during climax, they should visualize the Rebbe. Slifkin brings the writings of Rabbi Teberdovich (spelling?) as a source who writes: בשעת מעשה ראוי שלא לדבר אלא לחשוב אותיות התו...

Does the community think this question should be removed, per our policy "that in the Jewish tradition certain questions, especially certain questions relating to sexuality, are discussed only in private"? It allows for "such questions [to] be closed or deleted at the discretion of the moderators or community."

@DoubleAA seems appropriate to delete. In my very humble opinion.

@mevaqesh I tend to agree. It's hard for me to think of a topic which more fits the criterion of only discussed in private. Even the dry details of Niddah and even the technical laws of Hilkhot Tzeniut are more suited to public discussion than this, methinks.

Any dissenting opinions?

@DoubleAA Here are two (representing at least 18 users), on the record. Here is an opinion that would concur, (representing at least 8 users).

@IsaacMoses Until the FAQ is changed, I don't see what the point of citing those is.

@DoubleAA Which questions are only discussed in private? Maybe only ones, as Joel Spolsky suggests, that use explicit language.

@IsaacMoses Are you suggesting that questions posed in synonyms are different questions??
I don't even think your claim is true at all. Even when discussing these issues in private clinical language is used.

@DoubleAA Sounds right. It would be nice to see this articulated and substantiated on Meta, to strengthen the FAQ.
