22nd Day of the Omer.

@kouty I do not have a view of my own. My comment was only an effort to understand your answer post.
Shavua tov, y'all.
Tonight in the States, today in Israel, is the 22nd of the omer.

I hope I don't owe you money, @ephraimhelfgot.

Today is twenty-two days, which is three weeks and one day of the Omer. Today's attribute: Chesed ShebeNetzach

@msh210 Why would you? Counting omer isn't a mitzvah that can be stolen like covering the blood can; everyone can fulfill it individually.

@Daniel I was referring to the "mitzva" of reminding people.

1:55 PM
@msh210 ah. Well the fact that most nights we get a reminder from R' @ephraimhelfgot and R' @Moneh, suggests to me that this is also a mitzvah that can be fulfilled individually
But maybe since Moneh is a robot, he's not actually trying to be yotzei

@msh210 I'm not sure if I could extract those Asarah Zehuvin from you, anyway.

@ephraimhelfgot I found the secret message.

7:36 PM
@sabbahillel, @msh210, to all here, my confession: ד שְׁמַע, יִשְׂרָאֵל: יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, יְהוָה אֶחָד. 4 Hear, O Israel: YHWH our God, YHWH is one. You shall have no other gods before Him. YHWH, God of Abraham, Isaach and Yaacov, is the one and only true God; there is no other God besides Him--a just God and a Savior. There is none besides Him, no other to deliver. Israel is His chosen people. The laws God gave Israel are eternal, and perfect, pure, and beautiful.
My contrition: It is wrong the way the "church" has persecuted you in the name of one supposed to be your Messiah. It is wrong that anyone EVER asked you to or expected you to leave off or lay aside ANY of the law of God that He gave to you that were forever, for perpetual generation. It is inexpressibly grieving that any would persecute you and put a stumbling block before you to expect you to betray the laws of your God to obtain peace, land, fellowship, "salvation."
It breaks my heart that our nation of America participated an agreement that coerced Israel to give even a piece of dust from the land God gave you, and that inheritance far beyond any boundary you have ever laid claim to.
Our ignorance has resulted in a society that continues to be unsupportive and even hostile to Hebrews who endeavor to take up again the laws of your God. I am so sorry. This is wrong! I am sorry.

@DoubleAA At the risk of repeating myself, congratulations.

My Journey: God has brought about in me a phenomenal journey that has enabled me to see Him more clearly for Who He Is. This has resulted in a drastic shift in paradigm, faith, practice, affiliation. Many of the traditions I was raised in stemmed from paganism; I renounced them. Some of the "core doctrines" I found were foreign to even the NT and I could no longer espouse them.
Leaving off Christmas, Easter, et al, was a relief to me as it was a constant battle to keep God the focus in the midst of the commercialism and secular entrapments. I was delighted to discover the Holy days YHWH gave you. They are rich with meaning and significance.
I read in Genesis that there was a day God set apart for rest and blessed it for such, I embraced it with delight and have been a Sabbath keeper for years.
God revealed Himself to me in the account of the Exodus as One God Who Saves; I could no longer espouse the doctrine of the trinity.
He brought my family to a city with a longstanding Jewish community. My husband was called to pastor a church that is sympathetic to my Jewish ideology and my love for the Jewish people. Though I cannot join as a member for my faith will not allow me, I find the hand of God most gracious in this regard.
Through the course of my journey, I was estranged from family, and faith community, though always in the presence and counsel of God. But I was broken. I was taken in by a recovery group who helped me discern idolatry of man. As I have broken from fear of man, and clung unreservedly to the wisdom and counsel of God (Torah) in the Spirit of God, I found recovery.
God brought us through a miraculous series of events, to a city with a longstanding Jewish community. I recently found most blessed and beautiful fellowship with them.
Observations: I observed in recovery groups like AA, and Torah AA that both Jews and Gentiles are assisted in calling upon God. This bent my paradigm. How can it be? I read the AA book and I found testimony of people who had been set free from adiction. their testimony was that they realized they were helpless on their own. Somehow, they came to believe a power does exist (some reference made to the creator) who was able to restore them.

Is there something wrong with my answer: judaism.stackexchange.com/a/71280/1499

When they turned their lives over to this power, and confessed all the ways they had transgressed against people in their lives, and sought this "Power" on how to live each day, then helped others along the same path, they were set free from their addictions. Who was this "Power?" According to their testimony, they came to believe a Power (God) existed who could...--This is the name of your God--He Who Is/Was/Will Be.
Indeed your Scripture teaches, "All who call upon the name of YHWH (Him Who IS/was/will be) will be saved."
Joel 2:32
My goal: How many Jews ever hear this? How many gentiles do?
You, my friends are to be a light to the nations. Israel, Jerusalem was to be a message to the nations of the wisdom and counsel of God, the righteous, just and pure laws and judgements of God.
This I see clearly.

I hoped to help return Israel to the laws of her God, and thereby minister return, recovery and restoration. (Deut 30). This excites me for you.
Why I am here: Coming out of a Christian background, and into fellowship with the Jews, has been both profoundly beautiful and deeply challenging. I am forced to re-search Scriptural prophesies and historical fulfillment, in a way and on a level I never had to before. In my journey so far I was only stripped of pagan tradition, mistranslation, misinterpretation of the NT, but not Yeshuah himself. Now I am asked, "who was Yeshuah?"
I feel I need to know what God says in Scripture and discern the truth from there. I need to examine the prophecies, the history, the people and their approach to Scripture.
What prophecies were fulfilled in their day? Which ones spoke into the future? How in Scripture in cases where prophesy was fulfilled for our observation, was it fulfilled. One observation I have is that while Christendom holds as Creed, that Yeshuah was/is "God the Son," the NT never speaks of him ever as "God the Son." Yeshuah is only ever spoken of a the "son of God." And so I search for what "son of God" means. How do the Jews understand this phrase?
I have not had trouble walking away from or out of nor leaving behind anything I discovered to be fallacious. I have come this far by believing everything God says, and testing everything man says. So if the NT turns out to fail the test then so it is. I need my faith to be grounded in God and His word, not in fallacy.
So I am not here to debate. I am on a quest of my own. I appreciate your understanding. If this is not the place for me to inquire, perhaps you can direct me to a more fruitful venue. Thank you. Sarah

If, meanwhile, you want to know where I stand in regard to "missionary endeavors" among the Jewish people, I am more excited about one Jew returning to YHWH God through loving obedience to His laws, than I would be about 10,000 Jews professing Jesus/Yeshuah and leaving off even one of YHWH's commands. Moreover, if you ever find me encouraging any of your people to leave off any of the instructions YHWH wrote to you I subject myself to the just judgement of God on such matters as found in Torah.
