@DoubleAA we usually expect more than "yes" (or "no") + link, and that's why I added the "insufficient explanation" post notice when it was flagged recently. The Q&A are very old, so probably this was considered a decent answer back then (hence a score of 4). If it were posted today the community would ask the author to expand on it or it would be deleted. I left a comment to give the author time to respond, but if it doesn't get expanded it should probably turn into a comment. @mevaqesh
@mevaqesh oops. That's an automatic (system) thing and should age away in a few days. I'm surprised that disputed flags trip it. (A flag can be disputed if it goes through review with mixed results, or if a post flagged as VLQ gets edited, or probably some other things I don't know off hand.)
@mevaqesh thanks for bringing up your concerns here in chat where the community can weigh in. For things that are borderline it's much better if the community votes to take action instead of a moderator unilaterally doing so.
@kouty @mevaqesh I'd like to encourage you both to discuss your differences with an eye toward improving posts. I trust that all involved have good intentions & that communication is not always perfect. We all want the same thing: high-quality content on Mi Yodeya. Our community is strongest when we work together, each bringing our own knowledge and talents, to make that happen. I'm looking forward to our site being even better in 5777 than it already is through many people working together.

@MonicaCellio "If it were posted today the community would ask the author to expand on it or it would be deleted." I disagree. I don't think it would be deleted (at least by mods) even if posted today. It might get a downvote or two and probably no upvotes. But it answers the question and provides a source, not unlike HG and GG's answers to judaism.stackexchange.com/q/5862/759.

@msh210 Ideally 12 (two of whom are rabbis) — Double AA ♦ 53 mins ago
@DoubleAA Sez who, please?
(Maybe it's a well-known thing in the Bavli and every posek. But personally I've never heard of it.)

@msh210 Two rabbis in the group is indeed "a well-known thing in the Bavli and every posek". The Gemara leaves it as a doubt if those two are included in the Minyan or in addition to it, with most Rishonim seemingly holding the former position.

Abaye said: And he must utter his thanksgiving in the presence of ten, as it is written: Let them exalt Him in the assembly of the people.22 Mar Zutra said: And two of them must be rabbis, as it says, And praise Him in the seat of the elders.23 R. Ashi demurred to this: You might as well say [he remarked], that all should be rabbis! — Is it written, 'In the assembly of elders'? It is written, 'In the assembly of the people'! — Let us say then, in the presence of ten ordinary people and two rabbis [in addition]? — This is a difficulty.
See Tosfot there, for instance.

@DoubleAA thanks
@MonicaCellio Good, as long as those who need practical answers aren't relying on us. (Which probably is not the case.)
@DoubleAA I agree with @DoubleAA on this. cc @MonicaCellio

@msh210 You've got an ambiguous double-negative there.

@IsaacMoses "which" = "they aren't relying". Does that clear it up?

@msh210 Yes. Thanks. I agree.

No, never mind. Sorry.

@Scimonster What about it?

@msh210 I think that was on the HNQ.

@Scimonster So says a comment there.
