Q: How shall we celebrate Mi Yodeya's fifth birthday?

Monica CellioOn 6 December 2009 (19 Kislev 5770) question #1 was asked, launching this excellent site. The fifth anniversary of Mi Yodeya's arrival in the world will, B"H, be coming up on 6 December (secular calendar) or 11 December (19 Kislev). How shall we celebrate this? (Yes Isaac, I noticed what you s...

anyone remembers where the rambam zl says that if a person thought something was permitted to be recited a barocho over but it was really possul and not allowed, the barocho is fine and not lavotolo?
also does anyone remember where in hamaspeeq la3obadei hashem rabbeinu abrohom ban harambam mentions the community supporting 10 people(also if its in the rambam zl)
will save me the time of going through page by page :p

+1, good answer. IMO it would be a great answer if you could incorporate traditional Jewish sources (Talmud, Rambam etc) rather than taking just from Wikipedia. [my guess is that some of those sources would be found on that page under "References"] — Shokhet 34 secs ago

A: Idea: Weekly podcast

Isaac MosesI had an idea for a different weekly audio format that would be periodically labor-intensive but could be an awesome service: Real-time Parsha Q&A Call-in Show Each Saturday night, at a scheduled time, a live online radio call-in show (presumably using BlogTalkRadio, as our Launch Party did) op...

@ablaze You can head over to Meta Mi Yodeya by clicking that link. Vote up if you agree, comment (or write your own answer!) to add to the discussion.

@Shokhet I did! Vote, that is. I’m still thinking about answers.

Is there (or does someone want to make) a query that has as output questions on which user was the first to answer and answer was accepted, arranged in order of votes (i.e. potential "enlightened badge" candidates)?

@YEZ Here'‌s a close one
... actually, I think it's what you want and not what it says it is.

YEZ
@IsaacMoses Either the world's biggest coincidence just occured, or someone followed your link and decided to contribute to my closest candidate for that badge.

@YEZ They'd've had to follow the link and run the query with your ID

YEZ
@IsaacMoses True, but my ID isn't so hard to find.

8:38 PM
@YEZ I'd say that it's reasonable to reject the null hypothesis that there is no causal link between your query here and the coincident vote.

8:52 PM
@IsaacMoses Yes, actually....just ran it for myself....it gave me back one answer that I got the badge for already, and one within one vote, and two more (one with 6 votes to go, another with 9)
Can you get the Enlightened badge for a self-answered question?
(that query seems to assume not)
Never mind

A: Answered my own question with 13 votes. Eligible for enlightened badge?

ChrisFNo. Self answers are not eligible for the enlightened badge.

Straw poll: upvote this comment if you'd come to a Mi Yodeya Shabbaton in, say, the New York area. — Shokhet 20 hours ago
