3:52 AM
Plants + Some desk -> [?] Morse code ?

8:25 AM
No morse code

user189275
8:52 AM
@Avigrail: As you work in that office, do you have any idea of how long (and of which type - dictionary word ? Alphanumeric ? Numbers ?) the passcode is ? If you don't know, then don't tell. If you know partially, then partially tell.

2:38 PM
Sorry, no idea. The guy who hacked us didnt leave a hint for that
maybe I just didnt find it

2 hours later…
5:04 PM
@ArbitraryKangaroo I think most of the puzzle has been solved
I'm wondering why @Sleafar or @WesleySitu doesn't post a solution
I think all of the letters have been mentioned at some point
You just have to get them all together and make them a word

user189275
@Avigrail: Can you wait for 5~10 minutes before going to sleep ? I think I am very close to finding the solution

No worries I will sleep in about 6 hours

user189275
@Avigrail: SOLE ?

That is way too short
I think more letters have been found
You slow sods :D
I bet I could find the solution within seconds

user189275
@Avigrail: Moles ? I'm finding S, L, E, O[?], E/M/W, Y/D

user189275
5:11 PM
SLOW SODS ?

Not slow sods :D but nice try

user189275
@Avigrail "within seconds" a metaphorical hint ?

No, quite literl since I really could find it within seconds obviously

user189275
@Avigrail: Well, don't give any more hint, but am I missing any letters ?

"I'm finding S, L, E, O[?], E/M/W, Y/D" if that's the case you don't have all of them

user189275
5:15 PM
@Avigrail: But all of them are mentioned explicitly in the chat ?

Not sure, I would have to read all the chat again
But you can do that if you have the time. You seem to have no other hobbies than puzzling

user189275
Yeah, well, I am on holiday now too... but I'm almost always on holiday.

user189275
Atleast now I have craploads of time.

user189275
SLOWLY ...

Interesting but....no

5:20 PM
@Avigrail, why did you remove jack sparrow? :P

Actually that was me looking at the messed up office
:D
You should think twice before posting stupid messages kangoroo

user189275
Cool !

So.... @Avigrail is really Jack Sparrow :P

Correct arrrrr

user189275
5:22 PM
@Avigrail: Yes, you are right

Someone should do another pirate puzzle

Someone found the first letter?

user189275
@Avigrail: How I am supposed to know if the passcode I have is correct it or not instead of stupidly asking you ?

user189275
It may be M (the back, the first letter is the first letter)/A(Avi's secret riddle)/Who knows ?

I think the solution will be, like all my solutions, a very simple and meaningless word telling you how good you are
Which is the first letter of all?

user189275
5:31 PM
@Avigrail: S ? A (first letter of "A"ll) ? I know I'm stupid, but I don't know how the solution to your previous 3d puzzles fits with "a very simple and meaningless word telling you how good you are". Also, how it could be "simple" and "meaningless" at the same time ?

Maybe you shouldn't read too much in my meaningless answers
My job is to confuse you
Where do we find letters?

@Avigrail Now I have to ask, is it "awesome"?

user189275
@Avigrail: Where is "L" ?

@Sleafar +++

user189275
Now I'm pretty sure, after seeing the pictures, the first letter is "A". @Avigrail: Sleafar got it?

5:37 PM
So should I write an answer now?

user189275
@Sleafar: What is the "+++" ? Where you got the "M" from ?

@Sleafar go ahead if you want

user189275
Sleafar's solution is correct ?

The M is mentioned in one of the answers

user189275
@Sleafar: Which answer ? I Ctrl+F'ed all answer for M.

5:44 PM
In Deusovis answer.
I'll need some time to write an explanation.

user189275
@Sleafar: But what happened to the craploads of "L" ? Are you sure you're correct ? (I won't disturb you more)

There was only one L mentioned I know of and it wasn't confirmed by OP. The couches actually form an E.

user189275
Okay. Now write your answers.

@Sleafar take your time. No one but you got the answer

1 hour later…
6:58 PM
@Sleafar good job
Now there are two incorrect letters
Well, the letters are correct but the way you found them was unintended :D

Which ones?

"The first letter is the first letter": it means 1) the for of the books (A vi's secret riddles)
Also A is the first in "Alphabet" and the first letter of the alphabet aswell

OK, and the 2nd?

Notice that every face of the building provides one letter
S and E are bottom and top
Sofas is front and the plants are right
On the left there is M (on the back of the frame)
So the one missing is the backside. Looking through the window form the outside you can see the W on the flipchart
And the C should be covered by the wall and the cube

OK

7:03 PM
But that was just a gimmick
I expected people to use the from the clipboard that fits better

So the "Avi's secret riddles" is actually irrelevant?

The first riddle of that phrase is also "A"
It can be used for that, but I made the first letter available in different ways

Looking through the window I can see both "W" and "C"
Most of "C" at least

That's what Wesley mentioned. It's hard to display it perpendicularly
If you do, you should see only very little of the C
@ArbitraryKangaroo hey man

user189275
What ?

7:14 PM
Try writing riddles instead. I also hate PSE that's why I don't solve riddles but only create them ;)

user189275
It's okay, but in which context you're telling ?

I heard you were about to leave PSE
@Sleafar Will you edit the other letters or should I do it?

I'm on it
Do you have an image for W?

Second

user189275
@Avigrail: Oh yeah, that's a good idea. Do you know any classic source of good and beautiful puzzles ?

7:23 PM
users/avigrail ;)
I do them all myself

@Avigrail You... hate PSE? Then why would you create these great puzzles?

user189275
(When I write riddles, the poetry seems to go off, and the metre is horrible, and the answer goes boom)

@Deusovi for practice maybe

user189275
@Avigrail You're a professional puzzle maker ?

What do you call professional?
Other than rep I'm not earing anything

user189275
7:32 PM
Oh ! So what's the answer to my previous question ?

I do that as a hobby

user189275
(A good source of beautiful puzzles (book;excpet RD)); RD is now closed, by the way.

I spend days to create riddles bcs I enjoy the process. I just post them here so others can enjoy them, too

user189275
That's not my question. I asked if you know A good source of beautiful puzzles (book;excpet RD)?

Nope, I do that all from my own inspiration
No outer resources

user189275
7:34 PM
@Deusovi: You know ?

@ArbitraryKangaroo Huh? What do you mean?

He's looking for puzzles

user189275
2 mins ago, by Arbitrary Kangaroo
That's not my question. I asked if you know A good source of beautiful puzzles (book;excpet RD)?

Oh, right.
Depends on what type of puzzles you like.
gmpuzzles.com/blog has some good pure logic ones.

user189275
@Deusovi: Well, beautifully metred riddles, ciphers which are not "guess what I'm thinking", visual, mathematical etc ?

7:37 PM
The MIT Mystery Hunt has a lot of fantastic puzzles, but they're very difficult.

user189275
@Deusovi: All of them are online ? Aren't you a part of a team ?

user189275
*can be found online.

user189275
I hate "knowledge" puzzles, but it is required in crosswords.

Yeah, most of them are online.
20000puzzles.com has the 2015 hunt, and you can sign up to play through it "normally" there (instead of just going through the archives).
Hm, then you might prefer the ones I linked earlier.
(And yeah, I'm on a team!)

user189275
Oh, okay, a good source to ponder upon later. Is "knowledge" (I mean somehow unnecessary facts) needed to solve non-crossword portions there ?

7:42 PM
The ones at GM Puzzles don't need any outside source - you just use logical deduction and the rules of the puzzle type (which they give you).
The ones for the MIT Mystery Hunt usually do need knowledge, but using any resource you want is allowed and encouraged. You can google as much as you need to.

user189275
That's okay - You can Google and forget - no need to cram the brain with unnecessary facts !

On my team, we always joke about how we need to clear our search histories after every puzzle hunt, because otherwise we get weird advertisements for a long time

user189275
@Deusovi: But I have read it takes notoriously long times even for a very large teams.
