@crmprogdev hello let me know if you can see this message,

5:11 PM
@rao Unfortunately, no notification appeared out front
@rao, just noticed your question on communities page views. SF does it more based on log-ins if you're talking about customer communities. They also take an average over a 3 month period (might be 4 months, would have to look) so customers don't get hit for a premium during their peak usage times of the year.

@crmprogdev you should see this notification now :)

will go check.
Yup!, That one I see. I always see anything that gets posted between Meta and SFSE.

rao
chat is very rarely used by members
of SFSE

True, especially now that the link to it is hidden behind the StackExchange logo. I had to look for it to find it now that we have the new "look". LOL

rao
it would be nice if chat is effectively used like other stackoverflow forums
lols thats true it takes a lot of motivation to look for the hidden chat gem :/

5:21 PM
Unless there's an extended exchange of comments where the autobot suggests moving it to chat, I don't think it happens
LOL! Took me a minute or two to find it again!

rao
yep that was my first concern on how to redirect a user to the chat and the next one was there is no way i can invite a user to chat instead of asking them questions back and forth

I totally understand. There are some good things here and clearly other things that need refinement.
Was interesting to see the stats on what qualifies a beta site as excellent, good, etc

rao
SFSE site has only 84% answered ratio which is mainly because of users just coming by and asking questions and not returning to the site because their questions are self solved or they do not get answers within the time frame they are looking at

Yup! As long as that holds, you're also not going to get the answers/question up to a higher ratio either!

rao
chat could be powerful but we all have time constraints :/ so cannot be forced on ths forum unless we have some kind of an incentive program like windows 8 did to improve traffic

5:25 PM
Very true

rao
I wanted to get a windows 8 tshirt :P so posted a random question and got down voted (ow! oW! ow!)

I come and go as I have time. When things get busy, I disappear so to speak

rao
not sure if there any script the other stackoverflow users use to keep them active in these chat rooms, its hard to be in a chat room for so long

Speaking of down voting, that's part of why I think we don't see multiple answers here. If yours isn't the best answer or what some believe to be "best practice" (a highly subject thing at times), even though it may be helpful, it can frequently get downvoted. Seems like a tough audience at times.
Not every org can afford to pay for the level of support that others can.
Don't know if they can run a script that would create a pop-up or not. Good question to ask in meta.

good.... hm, I'll stick to my timezone :P good evening :)

LOL! Been a long time since I've been in the UK. The sun did shine on me at least once or twice while there as I recall.
Well, have things to do. Was nice chatting with you guys for a few.
