When I write the command "\chapter{Πρόβλημα του \foreignlanguage{english}{Grothendieck}}" I get the following messages:

@MaryStar Your mwe is not really minimal ... you can delete all theorem definitions, for example. And also the call of your bib file. Not relevant for this problem.

Do you have to call the english name in the chapter? That causes the errors. Without no problem.

So is it not possible to write the english name in the chapter? @Kurt

@MaryStar I do not know what language greek does or allows. And I 'm not speaking greek ...

@MaryStar If you change language to english, in which way can you then add greek letters? This way could be a workaround ... But I 'm only guessing ...

Ok... But why does the error appear only at the chapter? I use the command \foreignlanguage{english}{...} also at the parts of the code...
I use the greek language, since the whole text is in greek and only a few words in english.

@MaryStar You use KOMA-Script. And you use titlesec. Have you seen the warnings not to do so? There could be a reason for the error messages. Or the things done to switch to greek are the reason. As far as I can see, greek switches to an must-be-greek-mode, that can't be changed with \foreinglanguage. That gives the error message.

@JosephWright on the faq, if we wanted to use gh-pages (for any convertor) it's more convenient to have the html files at the top (as you need at least an index there and the existing URLs are all at same level, in my fork I have everything in one dir but would be easier to have a src directory and push the sources and conversion scripts down.

@Cortizol the image is clear enough but \in is about the height of a lower case letter so not that small (I'm distracted as i can't read the text and (if I just petend it is english) it all seems to be in caps and small caps so looks "big" to me;-)

Back in Prague. I have to confess, the memorial site at La Belle Équipe in Paris is really impressive.

@JosephWright well I could re-arrange it and move it all onto a gh-pages branch and get rid of my fork, but having only had access for a couple of days I'd rather someone agreed to that plan before I do it:-)

Did you see at my question the edit? I changed a bit the code, because I before the edit I had deleted some commands and so I could compile without errors. As the code is now, I get again the errors...

@MaryStar I tried again with the new code, but the error doesn't show up. The code should be added just before \begin{document}

Adding these commands, I can compile it without errors!!

say in a wrap fig environment instead of having an image it contained some text, like a large font section of some of the text that was highlighting a certion point or what not... what's the name for this? It's pretty common

its probably most common in magazines thinking about it, I was wondering if theres a name for it though.

@DavidCarlisle I have a plan on the Unicode data but it's complicated by the fact some cased letters don't have a 'partner', for example 00DF

@DavidCarlisle Gets more complicated still for cased non-letters, as they might have one or other mapping but there's no obvious marker other than the codes themsevles

Q: What is the best TeX renderer for Java applications?

I want to be able to render mathematical equations in my Java applications. I have been using a library for Java called JEuclid to achieve this. I have done some research on other libraries which could be used to achieve the same thing and I have come across libraries such as SnuggleTeX and JMath...

@MaryStar I found the code causing the error message in your original code. Because the question is now closed I can't add there an answer. The error is related to the toc. If you comment \tablesofcontents the error does not occur. The execution of the toc file causes the error. If you delete some chapters, it is already gone.

So there are too many chapters? @Kurt

@MaryStar No. There is a bug if one uses greek. And you have to use it, I suppose. So please add the lines to the preambel of your code as egreg posted above. Are you able to do that? I can't post the changings because the question is closed.

@JosephWright I'm trying to read git tutorials but not sure the wine at dinner helped:-) If I have loads of commits to tex sources and lua convertor, I feel i should be able to make a pull request just of the tex, but can't see how to make a branch that just reflects that set of diffs from the upstream uktug repo.

@Kurt The problem was a bug in greek.ldf, that should be solved by tomorrow, the fix is already on CTAN

@egreg I saw the comments to the question. Thanks! But would it not be better to add the above given code to the question with an hint that with version ... the hack is not longer neccessary? Then all informations re there where they can be found, I guess ...

@JosephWright I thought the workflow was (a) make a new branch that's like the upstream master, then (b) "cherry pick" some of my commits to that branch then (c) make a pull request of that branch back to the upstream master. But turns out I only know how to do (c) as every time I try github shows me lots of commits I didn't want are in the request:-)

@JosephWright the simpler way (that I've done for a couple of smaller edits) is just to check out the original repo to a new clone and copy over the files and re-commit them, but that seems to be cheating really (and wasteful of disk space here)

@egreg is that apa a "known issue" certainly looks odd:-(

@JosephWright Quick & dirty hack of a FAQ overview - reduced content - but I guess you get the feeling - 3 columns on wide screens, 1 column on narrow screen, collapsing navigation, collapsing sections for getting the huge content handy. tex.ac.uk/test/faq.html

Needs improvement and automation of course.

Could be a screen full of buttons, touch to open section closes other open sections, auto-arranging things. Of course with fallback option to get simple html
