It's part of fitting the assignment lists into the margin, i.e. the boxes are truncated until they can fit. In case the list of assignments gets too long, the original box will be too large (before getting truncated). I'll add some sort of threshold to prevent that, but it's not too high on the list...

You could file a bug report as a reminder though :-)
