room topic changed to ELU Close Vote and Low Quality Answer Reviewers : This room is to list questions (old and new) that need closing with a brief explanation. Also you can list low-quality posts that need extra attention. (no tags)

NVZ
I'm here now

@NVZ Hello. Nice to see you here. :-)
Do you think you can regularly visit this chat room and see questions and answers that need some extra attention for close-vote and low quality?

NVZ
Sure
If I have the votes, that is

Yes, that's the whole idea. Do you think it is a good idea to announce this room on Meta?

NVZ
Seeing that all questions on meta from our point of view have been heavily downvoted, I don't think many will appreciate this.

6:39 AM
Hey, don't worry about downvotes.
They mean nothing.

NVZ
I want you to make sure this room thing is legit. So that mods don't ban us for it.

Let me ask some opinions of ELU chat users, first.

NVZ
Yes, please. :)

I have every right to create any chat room with my reputation points.

NVZ
That you do.
But listing all deserving posts, do we have right for that?

6:40 AM
Nobody forces any user to visit this room and close vote anything. On a voluntary basis. :-)
Yes, of course.

NVZ
So how will people say "Leave Open" here?
It will be like we're pushing stuff to be "closed"
Anyways, I'm in. You should know that I'm under 10k and have no moderation privileges.

@Rathony Heh. Sup yo.

This could be a discussion room. If one objects strongly to closing a particular question, they can argue against it and persuade us to retract the votes.
@Mazura Not much. Pretty long time, huh? How are you?

Good. It's finally summer.

Yeap. Spring seems to be gone into history nowadays. Summer right after Winter.

6:45 AM
If this room was active, I'd have used it to earlier today. Is it new?

NVZ
It was born today

@Mazura Created it 10 minutes ago. :-)

NVZ
We are the parents
In a sense, lol

@NVZ Don't worry about moderation privileges. Actually we are all moderators. We just can't do certain actions. That's all. There is no big difference between us and moderators.

You need to be room owners ;)

6:47 AM
@Mazura Even if I am not active in this room, this room will not be closed, right?

NVZ
If you know others who share the same interests, please invite them personally.
(Avengers Initiative)

I think it would be great if some active users visit this room on a regular basis (once a day for example) and see what's going on.

NVZ
I'm not sure we'll have many visitors. Even ELU Main chat is active rarely.

@Rathony I don't know when "closed due to inactivity" starts.

@NVZ We won't have many users for active chatting. I am writing a Meta post to announce it. People will come and go. That's the whole idea.
This chat room is like another "review room".

6:53 AM
I bomb random chats across SE with what would belong here. So we'll see ;)
GL. I must away.

@NVZ Some might say "why don't you use the existing ELU chatroom?" "Why do you need to create another review queue when we have one on the main site?"

NVZ
Yes. Thought crossed my mind.
What will you answer to such questions?
Its's important to make a FAQ thing before announcing on Meta

7:12 AM
@NVZ Yeap. I just stopped writing the post. Here is the draft. I have created a chat room titled "ELU Close Vote and Low Quality Answer Reviewers" inspired by @NVZ's comment which introduced [SO-Close-Vote-Reviewers](https://stackoverflow.com/teams/11/socvr).

The purposes of this chat room are as follows:

1. Link a question that should have been or should be closed, but didn't (doesn't) get much attention.

2. Link a question that should be reopened.

3. Link a question that should not be closed.

NVZ
How does point 3 work?

@NVZ Well, for example. I see a question that received 3 or 4 close-votes and I am strongly against closing it because XYZ. I link the question and ask users not to close-vote it or retract the vote if they voted to close it.

NVZ
Sounds okay

@NVZ The problem of our review queue is we can't leave a comment on the reason except for those on the pop-up.

NVZ
The main idea should be to "speed up review process" or "reduce the main review queue length"

7:17 AM
@NVZ I think the main idea should be "don't let closable questions slip through our fingers". and "don't let legitimate questions be closed".

NVZ
Ah, better phrased than mine. But similar ideas
I think tchrist would be willing to join, seeing their old meta posts.

@NVZ There are thousands of questions that need closing. But when I close-vote it, nobody seems to care so much about old questions. Maybe they have only limited number of votes and they don't want to use it for old questions.

NVZ
That's a valid reason
How much rep needed for close votes?

english.stackexchange.com/questions/329271/… I think this question is a general reference and should be asked on ELL. Nobody close-voted it for the last 11 hours.
3,000 reps.
@pwang Hi, are you an ELU member?

NVZ
I am not well versed in grammar, and I'm not a native speaker, so I tend to not vote on such questions.

7:22 AM
@NVZ Well, I am not a native speaker, either. :-)

NVZ
I'm from India.

A: Why are "colleagues" becoming "work colleagues"?

SquiddyThe phrase 'work colleague' is a complete redundancy in my opinion as the definition for 'colleague' in a variety of dictionaries boils down to 'someone you work with'. I have never seen a different definition. I would find it far more appropriate to clarify associates (using the AMA example abo...

Does this add any new info? I think not.
But I chose "no action needed"
