I respectfully disagree that my answer on the forced homosexuality question is too harsh or should be deleted, @anongoodnurse. If someone said they really wanted to raise at least one of their kids to be a paraplegic, I think it would be critically important to determine if this person would be willing to harm their child before getting them pregnant.
Similarly, it's very important to determine if this person is planning on forcing a gender identity and sexual orientation on their child before starting a family.
What my answer contributed is the notion that such actions are abusive.

@WilliamGrobman - I'm impressed at how moderate your response is here. Had you used the same moderate tone in your answer, it would not have been deleted. As I said, labeling the wife's behavior ("extremely psychologically abusive") is not within how I interpret the Be Nice policy you referenced in the beginning of the post.

As an example, raising a boy as a girl can be understood as being far from in the best interests of child without the implications of labels.
However, I don't want to be unfair with you. I'll ask that another moderator look at the answer and decide if I was too harsh.
If that doesn't yield the results you hope for, you can always ask a member of the Community Management Team to review the issue. We don't hope for people to need to do this, but we do want to take your concerns seriously. I hope you are satisfied by this proposal. Let me know if you're not; conversations are crucial to conflict resolution.

@WilliamGrobman and @anongoodnurse - I have undeleted. Based on the quick discussion here I think the interpretation seems reasonable. Possibly the wording is slightly emotive, but in principle this is ok.

@RoryAlsop OK, thanks for the intervention.
@WilliamGrobman - Thanks for bringing it up in chat! My sincere apologies. There were some pretty bad comments which had to be deleted, so that may have sensitized me. In any case, you're back on. :)
