@StanShunpike - Skeptics is a site that is specifically interested in proving or disproving claims. The answers there tend to be high quality with good references.

I like the idea of having this question here on Parenting where all parents will benefit from it. But for your own satisfaction, you might get a better assortment of answers there. I'm kind of sorry I didn't think of it. :-/
