It doesn't matter..if X is greater than zero... Equation becomes.. ax2 +bx + c.. and b2 -4ac decides...and if X is less that zero.. ax2 - bx +c and (-b)2 - 4ac decides..
In both cases det determines and we can't be sure with given data..
 
@TheDestroyer x is given in modulus... which means x is always greater than 0... isn't it?..
 
@Tezz value of X is positive. If X is less that zero, mod x becomes -x.. now take any X as -5 and you get 5..
