@KeshavSrinivasan Off Topic: How many wives and children did Lakshmana had? As far as I know, he had 1 wife - Urmila and 2 children - Angada and Chitraketu. But someone told me about his other wife - Vanmala and total 3 children. Is this story authentic? You have read Valmiki Ramayana so I think you can clarfiy on this. Thanks.

@ChinmaySarupria No, the story isn't authentic. It's not mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana or any Hindu scriptures. The story of Lakshmana marrying Mahidhara's daughter Vanamala comes from the Jain version of the Ramayana, where after coming back to Ayodhya Rama marries three more wives and Lakshmana marries 8 more wives including Vanamala! It's ridiculous, it's just a story invented to make Hinduism look bad.
