@MartinSleziak it's ok if it gets frozen, there's really nothing useful here. I explained a small piece of the problem to Brian but I don't think he really thought about it.

ok
I was not sure whether you want to keep it or not.
And I was not sure whether you are aware that rooms get frozen.
So I wrote the above message.

@MikeMiller what if you put your paper on Arxiv and then someone steals it and publishes it elsewhere? What is to stop this from happening?
I think this is related:

Q: Does posting a paper on an online forum establish priority?

Awesome AcademistI have finished writing a paper and am a high school student. Since I'm sure this has no chance of being accepted to arxiv, I want to simply post it on a public forum. (This also has meaning for me because the forum helped me develop in the field where I wrote this paper, and I have friends there...

I will posted it as a reply to your message in the main chatroom - in case somebody else is interesting in the same question.

@MartinSleziak unless you are talking about my question regarding Arxiv. I am interested in knowing if that establishes priority. I've heard differing opinions on this
That was exactly what I was talking above.
In fact, if you look at my message (or any message which is a reply to another message in chat) you can see small arrow there at the beginning, like here: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/29601417#29601417
Simply by clicking on that arrow you will see what message I was replying to.
I hope I am not the person who you suspected of stealing your paper :-)
