@Angelplayer I guess it looks like Macs don't have a recovery partition so you'd have to be able to authorize a download and a download would probably take a while too

@barlop What model Mac do you have / what version is it running? Most newer Macs (shipped around 2011 with OS X 10.7) should have recovery partitions.

@barlop However, the recovery partition won't show up in Disk Utility unless you follow these steps: osxdaily.com/2011/09/23/…
