"Why was your post deleted? See the help centre." As I see it, I posted an answer, it got a couple of up-votes, after which it attracted first one minor troll, then a major one. End result, I get penalised. apple.stackexchange.com/a/175607/85275
I deleted those comments that were "nasty" or "insulting" to people as opposed to criticizing ideas.
Let me know if you'd like a private room to work out why you feel "penalized" If you want to edit your answer to address the question directly, I have no issue whatsoever with undeleting it. Just flag and we'll proceed as you wish.
@bmike - honestly, I thought I was 'answering the question'. I don't think this needs private, as I'm not ranting like a looney (really;), I just thought dumping the answer rather than just the comment exchange was a bit far. I really thought the answer itself was valid. I didn't think this issue/exchange/etc warranted a meta, so I just dropped my concern in here.
The memory compression caused frequently lag so I tried turning it off. The lag was gone but I got crashing freeze when I opened some memory hungry apps. During freezing, it was not possible to quit some apps. I could only move the mouse cursor around. After several 10 minutes, OSX simply gave up...
I guess in the overall scheme of things that would be fine, though I did think the 'answer' in itself was valid, if flippant - it was just the comment tirade that skewed it somewhat, after the fact. [I like what you did with that reference, btw, was definitely better as a comment… as I clearly wasn't reading correctly what the OP meant.]
