@Undo why be that guy ?

whatcha mean?

Is the pre-release software I am installing confidential?
Yes, the pre-release software is Apple confidential information. For example, don’t install the pre-release Apple software on any systems you don't directly control or that you share with others, don’t blog, post screen shots, tweet or publicly post information about the pre-release Apple software, and don't discuss the pre-release Apple software with or demonstrate it to others who are not in the OS X Beta Program.

... I didn't install from that program :P

And your program has less restrictive terms?

Meh

I'd rather you not be that guy - that's all.

Undo has deleted this room.
Undo has undeleted this room.

... oops :P
The two buttons with delete on them do not do the same thing!

there
;)

Cool - I wasn't going to delete - just wanted to speak up. And don't worry - I crab at pros like Mark Gurman that also needlessly and gratuitously cover things that should be kept to the agreements.

You have to wonder, do they actually mean it?
I mean, yeah we agreed to it so we shouldn't.
but isn't it kind of part of the strategy to build up excitement?

I don't think they need any help building excitement from people that disregard plain language about what's public and what isn't. :-)
Here's something I groused at gurman. He complains about the stability of beta release 1.0 and 1.1 - duh - it's a construction zone and not for stable work. It's like telling a toddler to not touch the burner since they will get their fingers burned.
Then they get a burn. Except toddlers aren't expected to have great self control. Adults are.
(also - none of this is site policy - I'm not speaking as a moderator - just a member of the community here...)

yeah
Can we say that HomeKit is really awesome?
Because it is.

The world has had concept of things that you tell someone that is "off the record" and "not to be attributed" and "for print". Apple is relaxing what is for print clearly, but it's sad to hear people on the street dismiss the new software since they hear it's unstable or not ready yet. When your auto mechanic says they've heard all about iOS 9 and Yosemite and it's not for them - where do you think that came from?
@Undo Enthusiastic agreement. Even the details revealed in the non-NDA talk was totally excitement worthy.

true
Swift is awesome. Homekit is awesome. And &#& FREE CLOUD SPACE WITH PUSH NOTIFICATIONS.

Anyhow - not to make too much of a deal of things, I'll bow out at this point other than to say I'm also very excited about the direction Apple's heading with the software for the fall.

@IanC. Personally I'd like to see what others use. I've made my own review comments but I'd definitely be interested in what an actual moderator uses as well as suggestions for improvements.

@Undo There's not many times all-caps is appropriate, but there's certainly one of them!
