Q: Relative distance between neurons

GrantI am trying to work out the relative distance between neurons in the human brain if the brain was scaled up to the size of the earth. So if each neuron was 0.0001mm apart (just a guess), would that translate to 1m? or 10m? or more or less? Given that the brain is approx. 1400cm3 in volume and t...

This reminds me of what is frequently called Fermi problems: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_problemKonKan 28 mins ago
@KonKan I see that you have created (fermi-problems) tag. It might be useful to create also tag-wiki or at least tag-excerpt. It might help other users to use the tag correctly. Another reason is that the tags used on only one question are automatically deleted after certain time unless they have tag-wiki. — Martin Sleziak 43 secs ago
@Martin Sleziak: thank you for the info on that. I will consider your advise. — KonKan 2 mins ago

Topology and quotient spaces involving inverse function. I have added . (Which I am fairly sure belongs there.) I considered adding - the question mentions "quotient space w.r.t this equivalence relations" - but it seems a bit of stretch. The was added by the OP, which I was tempted to remove. Opinions? Suggestions?

Q: Topology and quotient spaces involving inverse function

vidyarthi Let $X$ be a set and let ($Y, \tau)$ be a topological space. Let $g : X \to Y$ be a given map. Define $\tau =\{U \subset X : U = g ^{−1} (V ) \text { for some } V \in \tau\}$. Which of the following statements are true? a. $\tau^{\prime}$ defines a topology on $X$. b. $\tau'$ defin...

There are some questions tagged equivalence-relations+general-topology (39 at the moment). Some of them seem to be mistagged. Most of them seem to be about quotient topology determined by an equivalence relation.

Should we create tag? Or should we call it as on meta.SE?
