> The JoongAng Daily reported that a Twitter-watching position had been set up in the foreign ministry in Seoul "because we don't yet have an insight into his foreign policies".
> It was a pleasure to work with you all. I really enjoyed this AmA and I look forward to the future of Valve, its products, gaming, and this subreddit. Thank you, Mr. Newell, for allowing us your time to do this, along with the other employees. We appreciate it. As for the rest of you, please stop asking about Half-Life 3.
> The issue with Half-Life for me is that I was involved in a much higher percentage of the decisions about the games, so it's hard for me to look at them as anything other than a series of things I regret. There's no information in my response about what we'll do in the future. It's simply easier for me to be a fan of things that in which I was less directive.
that's... kinda dark.
> If you are involved in a game, everything ends up being a set of trade-offs. Anything in a game is a sacrifice of things not in the game. I just feel those more personally about Half-Life for a bunch of reasons.
It keeps saying "no connection" in the bottom center and "0 friends online" and I can't open any page. I was playing a game and then browsing some game page on the native client and them... poof.
On one hand I'm going through an alias change, on other hand, getting people to recognize you when you change names is painful (even ardaozkal -> arda was hell).
@Yuuki Ranger. I chose your class with the ADvance Warfare Center. You're my only ranger to actually reach level 2. Everyone else died before they got there. BE PROUD.
Where are the save game files for Tribes Vengeance when installed on Windows 10? After installing with the Tribes Revengeance package and playing a while I found an empty "\Program Files (x86)\VUGames\Tribes Vengeance\Content\Saves" folder. Yet it must have been saving somewhere as quick save and...
there was also something posted in this room quite some time ago theorizing that a split in the Mario franchise after Sunshine lead to the Bloopers evolving into humanoids
@murgatroid99 oh. might check it out then for some nice wallpapers. SpotBright has been failing lately by saying there's over 100 new images but only like downloading 5 or 6
I was on Facebook and saw a video that represented the evolution of video games from 1957 to 2015. I know most of them (even the 1957 one), but the one that intrigued me the most that I didn't know was the game for 2006. The HUD of the game looked so familiar to me, but I couldn't put a name to...
*googles Story of Seasons* farming simulation, by Marvelous Entertainment, Nintendo 3DS....hang on that sounds very much like Harvest Moon which Marvelous did aswell.....didn't they?
In the yugioh game dual links, there's a player called the vagabond, and sometimes when he shows, it says a player (whom I've defeated, and this always happens whenever I defeat a player) told him all about me. Exact quote
Hello [blank], [blank] told me all about you, how about a duel?
I ...
oh yeh it's XSEED who's going The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky......*checks Story of Seasons release date*.......oh i hope that didn't contribute to the delay in Trails in the Sky the 3rd

@SaintWacko Good to know. I won't charger her that much, but at least I have an idea

@Yuuki It sounds ridiculous but that's what gets me though the day
If Valve was Disney, Portal 3 would be about Chell's daughter growing up and sneaking back into Aperture, finding a trapped man, falling in love, defeating GlaDOS, and then they live happily ever after.
Let's say Chell is 20 when she escapes. She finds love and has mini-Chell at 25. Now, Aperture follows some laws, so the youngest possible person there is 18 when Chell escapes. That means they'll now be 23.
Because Disney doesn't offend anymore, Chell's daughter will be 18 when she heads into Aperture. Meaning, the trapped guy is 41.
there's no known case of actual time travel in the portal universe, so we can't say that's the case. Cave died in the 70s, so he couldn't have been around for the Black Mesa Incident in any form.
How much moon rock did the guy consume anyway? There is lots of silicon and magnesium on the surface of the moon and neither are toxic in small quantities.
> If you've cut yourself at all in the course of these tests, you might have noticed that your blood is pure gasoline. That's normal. We've been shooting you with an invisible laser that's supposed to turn blood into gasoline, so all that means is, it's working
now i will admit maybe more people died as a resault of Cave's testing than GLaDOS's, but atleast Cave wasn't trying to kill them. need i remind you of the cake?
> Oh, in case you got covered in that Repulsion Gel, here's some advice the lab boys gave me: DO NOT get covered in the Repulsion Gel. > We haven't entirely nailed down what element it is yet, but I'll tell you this: it's a lively one, and it does NOT like the human skeleton.
here's the microchip:
> Now, if you're part of Control Group Kepler-Seven, we implanted a tiny microchip about the size of a postcard into your skull. Most likely you've forgotten it's even there, but if it starts vibrating and beeping during this next test, let us know, because that means it's about to hit five hundred degrees, so we're gonna need to go ahead and get that out of you pretty fast.
and jet engines:
> The average human male is about sixty percent water. Far as we're concerned, that's a little extravagant. So if you feel a bit dehydrated in this next test, that's normal. We're gonna hit you with some jet engines, and see if we can't get you down to twenty or thirty percent.
Cosmic ray spallation is a form of naturally occurring nuclear fission and nucleosynthesis. It refers to the formation of chemical elements from the impact of cosmic rays on an object. Cosmic rays are highly energetic charged particles from outside of Earth ranging from protons, alpha particles, and nuclei of many heavier elements. About 1% of cosmic rays also consist of free electrons.
Cosmic rays cause spallation when a ray particle (e.g. a proton) impacts with matter, including other cosmic rays. The result of the collision is the expulsion of large numbers of nucleons (protons and neutrons...
Sounds a lot like GLaDOS in Portal. "Coming into contact with the chamber floor will result in an unsatisfactory mark. Followed by death." And don't forget the live military android course.
i thought this was just some pseudosciece wordage there for no reason
ah, yes. this rant:
> Science isn't about WHY. It's about WHY NOT. Why is so much of our science dangerous? Why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you on the butt on the way out, because you are fired. > Not you, Test Subject, you're doing fine. > Yes, you. Box. Your stuff. Out the front door. Parking lot. Car. Goodbye.
GLaDOS: at the end of this test you will be incinerated Cave: at the end of the test we'll remove the tumors that we caused for free and even get out the old ones you came in with
> Now, maybe you don't have any tumors. Well, don't worry. If you sat on a folding chair in the lobby and weren't wearing lead underpants, we took care of that too.
@KazWolfe maybe the tumor removal was another test
> to find these tumors we're going to inject you with these little fellas called Nano Probes. they'll crawl around the inside of your body and get rid of that nasty tumors. if you experience a sudden urge to scratch don't do that. that's the probes under your skin
> For this next test, we put nanoparticles in the gel. In layman's terms, that's a billion little gizmos that are gonna travel into your bloodstream and pump experimental genes and RNA molecules and so forth into your tumors
Currently, I have Steam set to start automatically in Big Picture Mode when my Windows 8 machine boots. The idea is that this computer will mostly be used for gaming, so it is a good default. Part of my ideal experience is that I will be automatically logged and brought directly to my library of ...
there was a universe in extended tests where cave was made into a computer. (see PTI)
> I've been thinking: What if Greg was right? What if injecting my consciousness into a computer robbed me of an eternal reward? Spiritually speaking. [beep] Alright, I just read up on it. Stumbled on a book about a fella who lived thousands of years ago. Sacrificed himself to save mankind. Went by the name of Hercules. Destroyed all the world's monsters so humans'd be safe, then went to Olympus for his trouble. Damn it, death was my monster! And I killed it! Where's my Olympus?
> Here's a question for you: Who is not afraid of no ghosts? [beep] As of just now, every character in every book by Virginia Woolf. Man, those things were dull
I'm just hoping if you could help me. I lost my village which was saved, but then I forgot the password.
Is there any possibilities than I can still get back may account.
@fredley If you did that with my username I would actually open a complaint with SE about you linking me to stuff I want no link to, and being a generally irresponsible asshat.
