@TRiG Don't believe everything you hear in Highschool my friend. I've thoroughly researched the "evidence" against the historicity of Genesis and I assure you there is no reason to doubt the Scriptures. The alternative "models" to the Bible were developed as alternative models to the Bible; they are not based on good science or history. FWIW at the time of my research I was unbiased; I was sincerely seeking the truth with an open mind and had not yet drawn any conclusions.
...many other intellectually honest researchers have arrived at the same conclusions -- even if they had once believed in these alternative models (as I also once did.)
There is a Proverb in the Bible by a wise man named Solomon that says "The first to plead his case seems right, until another comes and examines him." It is easy to be deceived when you have only heard one side of a story (or argument.) When you get to a point where you are willing to believe whatever is actually true, and are willing to hear both sides of an argument, then you may actually have a shot at arriving at the truth.
A very intelligent friend of mine used to think Christians were the most ignorant people she had ever met. Long story short, after hearing some of us out in the areas where she had questions, she is now a Christian and has a much different perspective. If you were to ask her today, she would explain that she had actually been the ignorant one. No one brainwashed her or forced her to "believe" - this was her pursuit, her conclusions.
Of course, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here. If you really just wanted to take a jab at me and continue to "bury your fingers in your ears" then I've wasted my words. But perhaps you'll consider what I've said. It is the truth.

@Jas3.1 Riiiight.
There was a science vs. creationism chat room, but it expired and closed. If you like, we could ask the mods to reopen it.

@TRiG Judging by your response, I'm not sure that would be the best use of my time.

@Jas3.1 shrug
