Above, a quick article I wrote at Innumeracy.com. The data on teachers testing to teach middle school math showed that 1 in 10 failed the test the first time they took it. Note, when results are returned, if the result is a 'pass', no score is shown. They only share the score with those who failed, presumably to give a hint of how close they were.
