@RoryAlsop - You have to love head gaskets on Subies ... I'm wondering, though ... was the leaky gasket causing the overheating (loss of coolant), or was the overheating the cause of the leaky gasket? The world may never know.

Q: Sending SMS using car horn

JiruIf you've been watching Bones series, there is an episode in which Bones and Hodgins were trapped beneath the ground, and they managed to send an SMS by wiring the phone to the car honk. Is this possible? What is the exact mechanism used? I'd appreciate it if someone points out if the question i...

This question doesn't fit on Mech ... where should I ask to send it?

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 really nice man in recovery truck taking us halfway home, then another one will pick us up there (apparently a range/time requirement)

@RoryAlsop - I hope your road recovery insurance is up to date! Safe travels, my friend.

2:49 PM
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 worldbuilding?

@Zaid - Nice! Morning, Kind Sir!

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 yup. It includes delivery home from anywhere in the UK. So all is well now we are on our way.

@RoryAlsop - How was the festival?

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 good morning to you as well

3:04 PM
The festival was amazing. Loads of good bands I hadn't heard of before, and those i had heard of didn't disappoint
I had accommodation for 8, but there were three of us in it
And we had upgraded from VIP to "Royalty" passes so we got to meet bands and had drinks service etc

@RoryAlsop - Sounds great :o)

3:37 PM
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 What are you up to Today?
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 What are you up to today?

@Zaid - As little as possible!
@Zaid - I was thinking about trying to do some more SolidWorks tutorials, but I'm not overly excited about doing any kind of work today.

Feeling lazy today, I presume?

Yah. I need to unwind from my trip. Just want to take things easy.
It's back to work tomorrow, so ...
I also start my new class this week.

I keep on checking Aram's room for further updates/pictures. The guy is a true artisan

I still think he would have been fine working off of the bell housing bolt-bosses for his engine stand. Making the complete rack for the engine stand was absolutely over the top, though. Pretty awesome, though I don't think I'd use spark plugs to secure it.

3:49 PM
Where are the spark plugs? I don't see them

He used them in two of the mountings to secure the engine to the stand. Not sure if you can see them very well in the pics.
Sorry, just the top one

I wonder if he's based in Cuba

Look in the bottom left picture ... the very top mount.

It's not very clear

4:04 PM
The porcelain is busted off.
