11:07 AM
@Zaid Hello Sir,

11:25 AM
@Myself @ShobinP good thanks

@Zaid So what are you guys upto?

Following the rupee news

@Zaid That came out of nowhere lol..
you should see the Banks and ATMs here.. People are running around with hands up in the air

I thought banks were closed

11:42 AM
@Zaid Not today, Yesterday night sorry.. As soon as the news hit , ATMs were crowded..
All fuel stations had long queues , people trying to exchange their currency..
Some say it was not a properly planned move but most are OK with it..

Well for a country with 1bn+ people it's to be exp3cted I guess
Well for a country with 1bn+ people it's to be expected I guess
I loved the jokes on social media

11:58 AM
Social Media is having a blast, especially ones like this
"USA COUNTING VOTES, INDIA COUNTING NOTES"

I do not understand what would be the reason for the rupee to nosedive? The rest of the notes are still legal tender?

"Samsung is not the only one recalling notes this year"
@Myself Well , the dollar too dipped today thanks to Trump , That is market for you :-)

1 hour later…
1:06 PM
Ola amigos

Ola

Why did they change the shape of toblar one
Some say its brexit
Trump won election
My country deemed half of its currency invalid suddenly
What is happening to this world

@ShobinP US is trumped.

@anonymous2 Its Hillaryous

@ShobinP Christians say that our leader (Jesus) is coming back in the sound of the last Trump.
@ShobinP Definitely. :)

1:12 PM
@anonymous2 ROFL.. Thats the last thing your leader would want to do :p
People need to acknowledge that "Orange is really the New Black"
I am just amazed as to how Trump won Florida

@ShobinP Orange?
Ah, gotcha.
@ShobinP So US now has a triple barrelled Republican machine gun.

@anonymous2 LOL.. Lets hope you guys dont get your feet shot :-)
None of my business but I kinda liked Obama for his oratorical skills..

@ShobinP None of mine either.

@anonymous2 I believe this is the first time we are chatting.. :-)

1:27 PM
@ShobinP I believe so. I haven't been around long, though, so that could explain a thing or two.
BTW, I really like this answer:

A: How exactly does a differential work?

Shobin PWhat is a Differential ? A differential’s job is to compensate for differences. Specifically the differences in wheel speed when turning. For instance, imagine taking a corner. Your inside wheel has a shorter distance to travel than the outside wheel as you go around the corner. That means tha...

@anonymous2 Right.. I used to pop in here everyday but got a bit busy lately..Good to know you..
Thank you!!

2:01 PM
@ShobinP - If only that's all there was too it was being a talking head.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 I didnt get you..

@ShobinP - You referred to Pres. Obama as being a great orator. That indicates someone who speaks well. A "talking head" is someone who speaks well, but really doesn't get much done behind the scenes.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 It didn't help that he had a Republican house and Senate.
Not saying I liked the guy, btw. :)

It didn't help the Republicans, either.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Agreed!

2:09 PM
I really think there has been too much in-fighting to get anything done ... on either side.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Lol, true enough.
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 True again.
Now the Republicans have a canon, though.

Nobody wants to work with the other guy. Pres. Obama only wanted it his way ... as far as I could tell, wasn't willing to even try to step across the aisle ... so, in part, he got what he worked for.

I wonder what the politics chatroom looks like.

@anonymous2 ROFL , Best comment of the day

@anonymous2 - If they can get together and make things work, it could be awesome. I don't know if that will happen though. A lot of them really don't like Trump, so they might fight him at every turn.
@anonymous2 - I've been wondering the same thing, lol.

2:12 PM

@Myself Oh, my, look at the list of people in it... :)
Programming Code Golf has a room for it too. chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/48205/election-2016

Btw. I will abstain from most politics talk. I am not entitled to comment about American voters/politics, with only exception of that part that affects me.

@Myself Where you from Mate?

@ShobinP Italy.

Be correct, please ... he's from southern Germany.
;-)
J/K!

2:18 PM
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 That's fine.

@anonymous2 The Land of the Lambretta

@Myself - I only tease as this is what you've stated in the past, lol.

I often do not understand either what I am.

@Myself - You are not alone in your endeavor of self discovery :o)
I've got to do work ... be back later.

My passport says Italian, my language says German. The rest? Perhaps I should call myself European..
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Wish you a good journey

2:19 PM
TY, kind sir.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Nice answer on my question .. :-D

Q: Will boring a cylinder affect its longevity thereafter?

Shobin PI had to deal with a worn out cylinder recently and was suggested to bore the engine which seems perfectly normal. I am assuming the compression ratios will change so what do mechanics do to compensate for the change in cylinder dimensions? do they use the old piston or get a new one? What ar...

3:18 PM
@ShobinP - TY sir.
I didn't even realize it was your question ... I liked it though!
@ALL - I'm stopping in for a moment to ensure the chat room does not become overloaded with "stuff" about the US election. I know some of you will need to decompress and that's fine. Just ensure any "banter" does not become a personal attack on any candidates or each other. The Pitstop is, for the most part, a very civil chat, which I'm eternally grateful for ... Just trying to ensure we keep peace and harmony no matter which way you see things. Thanks!! :o)

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Do not worry, I think people here are educated enough to not let this room become a second 4Chan :)

@anonymous2 - covered ... thanks!
@anonymous2 - I moved the one answer within the piston question to a comment, along with your comment.
It made a lot more sense as a comment than as an answer.
Relevant, but not pertinent.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 My comment?
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 It did give insight on this question.

Q: Why no key flahes on my dash board when the key is inside the car?

Eric M. MangilimanMy Honda City model 2016 has a push button keyless starter and while the engine is running, it flashes "no Key" when the passenger side door is open. Why?

Not sure, but I think it could work toward re-opening now.

4:00 PM
@anonymous2 - Sorry, it was actually a @ShobinP comment.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Sure, no problem. Just wondering if I was getting a bout of dementia or something. :)

@anonymous2 - Probably not, but it seems I am!

Yo petrolheads! I'll be in San Diego this weekend. Is anyone around?

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Na.
Just managing too many things at once.
:)

@JoErNanO - Sounds exciting! (maybe ... :o)

4:06 PM
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 It's for a conference. So yes.
More exciting is the fact that I don't get to cross the Pond very often, and I've never been to San Diego.

I hope you have a great time! I've only been to SD a couple of times. I have a Sister-n-Law who lives there. My daughter is going out to visit with them just after Christmas.

4:25 PM
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Yeah, my bad ..

5:07 PM
@anonymous2 I've noticed you are going through and scrubbing offensive language from posts. That's great! But, I don't know if the word "heck" is worthy of being called a swear word. I'm specifically talking about this "heck".

5:21 PM
@ShobinP - Not "your bad" ... more like "you're good!"

1 hour later…
6:27 PM
@ZachMierzejewski Thanks for bringing it up! As we all know, "heck" is a sanitized form of "hell."
I don't think that "heck" is likely to offend anyone reading these posts, however, if it isn't necessary in the post; I just prefer to scrub it out, as you said it.
There are numerous posts where I have opted to leave it in just because it is said in a less "hot" way or in a way that I feel is extremely unlikely to offend.

6:44 PM
To be honest, I am not personally offended by words like that, but I do appreciate posts which are lacking what I feel is unnecessary borderline stuff of that sort.

6:57 PM
@anonymous2 - With your continuing effort, ensure you correct any grammar which may go with it which may be influenced by the removal of the words. I'm sure you're doing that, just thought I'd reiterate.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Thanks, and good point. I frequently do grammar checks over the entire post while I'm at it.
There's one thing I really don't like with SE.

I thought you might.

Not already?
I feel relatively certain that my first gold with be Electorate.
This is when I move over to another SE site. When I'm running out of votes.

1 hour later…
8:08 PM
@anonymous2 Yeah, I've been thinking about it since I said that. You're 100% right that that "heck" did not add anything to the post. I probably would have removed it if I had been editing it too. Good work!
@anonymous2 I will be riding in a car for several hours tomorrow and for "fun", I'm taking "A Pocket Style Manual" 2016 MLA Update to study. I never know if I'm correcting someone's sentence structure or if they're using a fancier style than I know. I also will be studying commas intensely. I'm fun on car rides.

@anonymous2 & @ZachMierzejewski - Overall I don't have an issue with it. I think "heck" is very iffy, though. While it doesn't really add anything to the Q/A, it probably doesn't take anything away, either.
I'll submit to you the word "that" ... It is HUGELY overused in writing and conversation. Does removing it detract from the Q/A? Absolutely not. Does leaving it in create an issue? Nope.
My suggestion (and only a suggestion), I don't think I'd go looking for it in posts, but if you see it there while editing something else, then take care of it.

1 hour later…
9:29 PM
Hey, @JonEricson! What's up today?

@anonymous2 I kinda have a headache. I blame sleep deprivation.

@JonEricson That's usually a good reason.
Any idea when the new site theme will be in?

@JonEricson - I think that's systemic today ... do not feel alone in that endeavor.

@anonymous2 No idea. It depends on when a designer is freed up.

@JonEricson Sure. BTW, I like your profile on hermeneutics. :)

9:41 PM
@JonEricson - And I'm trying to stay away from the Teacher's Lounge right now ... I think they are getting a little deep into the political rhetoric.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Good idea. There are lots of grieving people right now and I just want to give them space. I don't think it will be nearly as bad as some people think, but it doesn't help to say that while they are in shock.
@anonymous2 Thanks! I was just reminded today that it's a bit out of date. Not in the mood to fix anything though.

@JonEricson - Agreed, and I posed that question out earlier today to them about where is the line. They answered nicely and I don't think the line is being crossed. It's just not my cup of tea at the moment.
I'm happy you've taken that stance.

What I find funny is that Google predicted the results exactly with a precision of 2 e-votes.
Happy supper everyone.

9:57 PM
@anonymous2 - When you got it, flaunt it, I guess?
Have a good evening. I hope all of you US people can be over your Election Hangover by tomorrow. It'd be nice to get back to some kind of normalcy! Be well, my friends.

10:31 PM
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 They've gotten it right in the past three US elections (before that they didn't exist) and they also got it right in the past Canada election which everyone predicted opposite.
