I am looking for a cheaper option. Just for a year and half or so. And this is for my wife. So it has to be a twist and go.

@SteveMatthews: Its 1 year for few of them like Lexmoto. Kymco gives 2 year warranty.

I have to question how much sense there is in doing a comparison like this to prove that emissions changed between the two runs

@Zaid - I have to doubt the validity of the test. They didn't run it as though it was doing an emissions test. The difference could have been detuning due to all the idiot lights being on (TCS and such). I think to tell what was done and how it affects HP/TQ, you'd have to know how VW did what they did. I don't think VW is going to let us know. I also think it's only going to be a reflash to fix it.

@Zaid - If some industrious sort were to download a stock tune in the binary and compared it to a download of what VW is going to reflash it to, then we'll know what's actually going on.
