Sigh: in some imaginary science fiction world in the far future, they're going to invent water pumps that don't eventually go bad and require expensive replacements. While they're at it, they might as well invent the perfect valve cover gasket as well.

So the shop very kindly loaned me a new Forester to drive around while they're doing important things that I definitely don't want to do myself. What does it say that I hate the new Forester and its CVT so much that I'm not even willing to drive it to work once? I'm going to get a ride from the Lovely Wife in the morning (which is admittedly not much of a hardship ;-).
