http://drupal.stackexchange.com/q/137090/25879

lol, is this some attempt at getting a hat? I can downvote it for you :P

Thanks @Letharion, yes ofcourse, just for fun. btw I'm not a hat hunter ;)
:( Infact I don't like downvotes on my posts ;)

Heh, who does.

:D thanks @Letharion got my hat and reedited the post. I hope DA won't take my hat back if you revert your vote ;)

@KrishnaMohan You are about to find out!

Q: Filter content by own content or admin

RisseSo I have an entity reference field on a node, the widget is a select-box. I want so that an user can choose one of their own authored nodes as a reference OR if an admin is logged in, they can choose any content. So admins should be able to bypass this restriction (with a permission, role or so...

Guy have a problem with sth that simply "works for me".
How to invite him to chat so he could bypass 50rep requirement?

9:25 AM
@Mołot I'm trying to give explicit permission, but it just tells me that the user must have 20 rep. :( Which doesn't make sense, but that's what it says.

@Mołot eariler, I faced same kind of situation, I was helpless then. I think it would be more helful for new users, if DA allows a high reputation user to invite other users (irrespective of their reputation).

@KrishnaMohan Thing is, I should be able to do so, but it doesn't appear to work.

@Letharion oh

9:41 AM
@Letharion :)

@Letharion shouldn't you ask it on Meta Stack Exchange now?
Because they was split, you know, some months ago

10:01 AM
@Mołot I actually had no idea, although that makes complete sense. Flagged and asked for a move.

@Letharion OK, good we have it figured out :)

10:33 AM
@Mołot You know any secret hats for flagging spam posts? ;)

10:52 AM
@KrishnaMohan No. Are there any? And if so, why don't I have them yet?

Sooooo, I just found this:

DEFINE('[name_of_module_here]_QUANTITY_ZERO', 0);
And I can't help but wonder.... what person defines a constant, named QUANTITY_ZERO, and assigns it the value 0?
Wat!?
(Which makes me think of destroyallsoftware.com/talks/wat)

@Letharion Wow
magic-constant phobia?
@Pureferret I did. But I can't help you now, sorry. I linked you examples archive that imported for me just fine
Now I have a problem
between line 703 and 723 of my own code some values disappear
and I have NO idea why

I was mildly amused to find
DEFINE('[name_of_module]_MILLISECONDS_IN_SECOND, 1000);
but then I found QUANTITY_ZERO, and I just... Wat?!
@Mołot Strong phobia apparently :P

@Letharion I once defined A_LITTLE_BIT - a smallest float value that did not caused numerical errors when algorithm that was using it was executed on test cases ;)
$new_time = $old_time + A_LITTLE_BIT was kinda amusing
I mean, significant numerical errors
there are always numerical errors on float operations, of course

1:34 PM
@Mołot lol
Well that makes a great deal more sense than 0, still.

Except
At first when we tried to find possible vaules automatically
Our stupid algorithm set it at 0 ;)
no errors, but the loop just refused to go forward ;)
Some things are just most accurately done by hand, if you have finite time to do them

1:54 PM
@Mołot No worries

Q: Are all magic numbers created the same?

GlenH7On a recent project, I needed to convert from bytes to kilobytes kibibyte. The code was straightforward enough: var kBval = byteVal / 1024; After writing that, I got the rest of the function working & moved on. But later on, I started to wonder if I had just embedded a magic number within my...

I'm having a views question i can't seem to resolve: i want to show all nodes related to multiple terms. The node which should display them shows only terms related to -one- term, while two are checked. It changes the related nodes when i check another checkbos, so the view itself works, but the problem is: it only shows nodes related to one term at the time
when 2 terms are checked, it only shows the nodes related to the first checked term
I checked "allow multiple values" in the filter "taxomnomy id with depth" to avail
I'm so close...

This week we held our last board meeting of the year, and we covered a lot a of ground. Unlike November, where we had a relatively short public meeting, this session took the full two hours to get through. We covered a lot of topics, from DrupalCon Amsterdam to updates from the Working Groups. As always, you can review the minutes, the materials, or the meeting recording to catch up on all the
