Oh, so empty here
funny as it seems, I need some reminder about creating module with own tpl.php files. And it's not in the examples.
Not the theming one for sure, only one is in the js example, so it's not documented as theming thing

9:34 AM
@Molot, it does tend to be rather empty still, never quite took off.
@Molot I have a similar question somewhere out there, I believe Clive answered it, but I can't seem to find it. And it doesn't seem like I can search for "Questions by X, answered by Y".

@Bart did you ever figure out why your blocks got disabled during cron? :)

Yes!
A cross-Drupal database issue, very specific to one customer.

@Bart, oh, wow, no wonder I had no idea ;)

One Drupal site was accessing another Drupal site's database for some data, but since the whole thing is not thread safe it disabled some blocks while in the other database.
More than one DB in settings.php => never again

Yeah, shared DB access is, problematic... Never had that end up well.
I'm glad I'm working with data sharing over public interfaces.

It's legacy code, the newer systems use an API, as it should be.
But for 2 sites I'm stuck with db_set_active
I'm hoping for some time to refactor the whole thing, but a lot of time is something I don't have at the moment

10:00 AM
@Bart D6 or D7?

D7

@Letharion thanks for the hint. Ping me if you will happen to stumble upon it. If I will fail implementing using api docs and what there is in examples, I'll try to ask. If it'll get closed as a dupe of your question, so be it.

so it's "legacy"
@Mołot, you just have to implement hook_theme in the right way
let me grab a code snippet for you

Thanks, I'll be grateful. It's been ages since i did it last time (early d6 and 2 employers ago), so I dont have any snippets at the moment :/ It should be silly, mundane task but somehow I can't put the pieces together. One of my "I feel s2pid" days.

10:06 AM
Thanks:D

@Molot We can't keep it all in our heads :)
That's what we have google and the community for! :D
@Bart Kiamlaluno showed me a neat trick in an answer somewhere. Do you know that in D7, you can do the equivalent of db_set_active, for a specific query, so you run less risk of messing things up between the two active calls?

@Mołot: call your theme implementation using a renderable array: pastebin.com/7dZKjrDX

@Letharion Google failed me, but I think I accidentally trained ot to show me wrong results. That's why I'd love them to allow me to switch off personalised results

Yes, I know, I tried it once but it didn't work for some reason, can't remember why though.
it's an option in db_select I think

@Bart Thank you, will do. Now time to get back to coding, unless now you two need me?

10:08 AM
not sure if it's implemented in EntityFieldQuery though

@Molot Yeah, I try duckduckgo for that, no personalization. :)
@Bart Yeah, db_select sounds right. Might not work with EFQs, haven't tried.
@Bart Though I assume EFQs use db_select() somewhere... Might not expose it though.

It’s that time of year when companies are looking ahead to next year and budgets are being negotiated and finalized. With that in mind, we want to communicate the full menu of options for businesses interested in giving back to the Drupal project, and engaging with the community to share ideas and identify potential partners, customers and talent.  Personal blog tags:  Drupal Association
