@freiheit bikes are pretty awesome :)

user11126
also mountain climbing is tougher than i thought

3:39 AM
@Sancho I didn't realize you were an ultimate player. Thanks for blogging; I used to play in college. Nowadays it's only pick-up.

4:05 AM
@MattChan Yes. Yes they are.
@MattChan Rule #10: Climbing never gets easier, you just go faster. ;)
@MattChan Were you mountain biking?

user11126
yes

12:04 PM
Anyone know a good guide on building your own gymnastic rings?
I can't actually find any place that sells them here.

@MattChan That is awesome

Gah, the more I read about rings the more I want to have some!

@VPeric Sorry mate, if I had any idea I would help out.
@VPeric My wife just agreed to join our universities biking team!
That is my random statement of the day

Hey, that's cool! :D
@Kortuk I actually find a guide that looks ok, I just can't do it right now: instructables.com/id/How-to-make-PVC-gymnastic-fitness-rings

She went out on the weekly bike ride for the first time in weeks and the competitive group said they were going to take off and she just stayed with them for the entire ride. I dont think it was as long as it can be though, only 50 or 60 miles
@VPeric That looks very doable.

The knot looks kinda iffy, but the general idea of heating a pipe and then bending it is something I never would've thought off.
@Kortuk I guess 50 miles is short in biking communities, but I think I'd be hard pressed to do even half of that.
Maybe if it was flat..

@VPeric Ha. My wife is an exercise nut, I keep trying to get her to take part in the site.
She teaches classes but does not feel like she can write answers without gathering resources.
@VPeric I cant do that. I am hard pressed to do 20
But they often do 100 on saturday. You just eat the entire time.
I have to head out. Have fun mate!

1:47 PM
Gah! Actually, the most I've ever riden is like 15km to my countryside house (but it's hills so I don't feel bad about it)
Cheers

@VPeric Their 50 mile ride was all hills. :) Fitness nuts.

Gah! :P

Hullo peeps.
I have a question to ask on main. Just wanted to make sure it's on-topic.
Is breakfast the first meal you eat when you get up, no matter you get up at 1200 AM. Or is it the one you are supposed to eat when you get up in the morning?

@VPeric There's a lot of variety in biking communities. 50 miles is short for some, long for others. 62.5 (100km) is a common goal distance for people to train for.
@Gigili That sounds more like a question about language than one about fitness.

@Gigili I'm not sure that question would be on-topic here.

Umm?

If you are wondering what to eat when, well.. just go with what works. :P
Our circadian rhytm is connected to the sun, but if you have weird sleeping schedules you'll just have to work around it.

No, I am wondering if what they say about heavy breakfast and light lunch works for night owls too.
@VPeric Yes, that.

3:02 PM
@Gigili I dont think that is on topic. They discuss fitness and dont do nutrition anymore either, correct?

@Kortuk Yeah, "nutrition as related to exercise" is the new scope.
@Gigili What do they say about heavy breakfast and light lunch?
Personally, my first meal in a day is usually a "lunch" followed by one more lunch and at least one dinner. :P

@Kortuk Oh? That I haven't noticed.

@Gigili As @VPeric said, it is somewhat restrained now.

> Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper

Right, I dunno; at a guess, we have different goals (mine are more like "eat breakfast like a king, eat lunch like a king, eat dinner like a king") so I'm not sure I can help much.
Still, if your days are the same just shifted by some hours then I see no reason not to shift your meals by the same number of hours.

3:09 PM
@VPeric Just be a king and leave the rest to me!

And IMHO, such a question wouldn't be in the scope of the site (as in, I'd probably vote to close), but you can always try and ask it, maybe others will disagree with me. :)
/me shrugs.

The most important ones agreed with you. So I have no choice but to agree with you as well.
Thank you for the input anyway.
