Welcome to the Ubuntu chat room on... Linux Mint?!?
Many people who moderate Ask Ubuntu will agree that there are too many Linux Mint questions being asked on their site, so I thought it appropriate that Mint users who want to talk about Ubuntu-based Mint should discuss starting a Linux Mint Q&A site on Stack Exchange.
This is for anyone to discuss whether starting Linux Mint on SE is a good idea or not - after all, to merely ask a question on the Linux Mint forums now requires a registration code only for those who have installed Linux Mint, which is pretty limiting.
So, anyway, talk away! Oh, and, uh... keep expletives (swearing) to a minimum, please!

Ask Mint

Proposed Q&A site for questions about anything Linux Mint.

Currently in definition.

Above is my proposal for a Linux Mint site. Check it out!

This wouldn't be the first Linux Mint proposal.
What's wrong with Unix & Linux though?
The only other community that has managed to organize enough of a userbase for their own SE site was elementary OS, and they barely managed to scrape through.

Nothings wrong with Unix & Linux, but Linux Mint is arguably the most-used platform of Linux today, so having an SE site on it would be very beneficial.
Believe me, I've seen the statistics. I can scrape them up, if you like...

You're ignoring the 2 or 3 failed attempts at creating a mint site we've already had..

Yep.Sure am.

I don't know how eOS did it but I do know that their developers are active users on the site, so that helps a lot.

eOS?

I haven't seen any kind of cohesive unit of mint community yet.
@BorWal Elementary OS.

Oh.
Well, I tried to propose the site on their community, but you must have a registry code to even join.
Which kinda stinks, since I do not run Linux Mint.
However, I have experienced it through others, and I think it would be a nice addition to SE.

I find it ironic that someone who doesn't even use the operating system is trying to group their community together, personally ;p

That is, if it ever gets picked up.
@Seth That happens a lot, actually.
@Seth I meant the previous comment for the line you said, as shown.

Anyway, if this site goes into commitment, I'd rather not be recommended unless you don't expect me to stay on it every day. Although I am on SE a bit now, I have other, more important duties.
You = general public.
