@pH13 Thanks, I'm already reading Frank Jensen's book so glad to hear someone suggest it to me gives me more confidence in it. The other 3 I'll take a look, I appreciate it.

5:24 AM
Jensen describes more mathematically than Cramer, so I like the Cramer more g
I think that's why the most people use Jensen's book more

6:20 AM
Jensen is great

I missed ron!

then with luck he will be back soon

6:35 AM
Hopefully I get more answers to my question on SE

I cross my fingers for you

Do you want to give it a shot :p

which question do you have in mind?

Q: Is a highly oxidized element more electropositive than a lesser oxidized counterpart?

DissenterMy issue I have a significant problem with the following excerpt from a general chemistry text: Note that ON stands for oxidation number (state). The excerpt is with regard to polyatomic anions - specifically, chloride ion and its related polyatomic anions. It now follows that as oxygen-a...

yes ... eh ... good luck

@Wildcat I'm not sure if it's toatlly too late, but as the game has begun we would need to reorganize it from now
I AM reading it
that's why I saw that you are back

4:51 PM
=O.O=

I like your points

:(

@Wildcat They told me a cat is back.

are you there tomorrow @Wildcat ?

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M, they do not lie! :D
@pH13, hope so. :)

4:54 PM
great!
but as my thread was there for about 1 month in meta and no one really added sth, I thought, we should just start it and see where it will go

there was no cat during this month :D

>_>
Hi.

5:00 PM
why such >_> eyes? :o

Hi, @duzzy!

Hullo @duzzy! Welcome to the Table!

I usually just kind of lurk and observe in most of these rooms. I find something that seems interesting and watch the conversations to see if I can pick up bits here and there. A greeting when coming into a room is kind of a rare thing. :P

Say, @pH13, have you heard about the convergence of the FLP calculation in determining the sp5 hybridization from the most stable allotrope of cyclopropane?
;)
@duzzy I wrote the above message for you. Juuust for you.

lol I figured it was something like that.
I understood about half of those words.

5:13 PM
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M flp?

@pH13 Half the flowers in the world understood the joke.

yeah ... shortly after posting it, I got it ... but I did not remove it :P

D'uh, "allotropes of propane".

I tend to not read things completely before asking stuff
so ...

5:28 PM
I tend to not read things completely before answering stuff. :D

hi all - @pH13 @Wildcat @inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M @duzzy
just popping by to say hello

Hello, @Todd!

how's it going/

at least it is going
:D
which is already fine

good to hear

5:50 PM
@ToddMinehardt Hey!

6:11 PM
hi @inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M - how goes?

6:21 PM
@Todd @Wildcat how good stories start:

**OP:** I am pretty new to the field of Ab initio calculations and would like some help through an experiment. [...] calculate the electron density at different spots (atoms) [...] find a relationship to the activity profile ... orca input line "! RKS B2PLYP TightSCF def2-SVP Grid4 MULLIKEN" [...] I tried to visualize my MeOH molecule in chemcraft as a free trial and the molecule appeared with no bonds connecting the atoms like they are hanged in space. [...]

7:12 PM
what to do you mean by optimized ?! <- that's the best
