@DoubleAA In practice, the mix of shared mourning and (thanks to people not realizing the protocol and/or lapsing because we're humans) socializing is difficult.
... especially when there are large crowds. Someone should come up with a device for rate-limiting visitors on, e.g. the Sunday of Shiva.
... not that I'm chas veshalom complaining about people who came to visit us. Each of their presences was welcome, and was a comfort to us and an honor to my mother.

@IsaacMoses My mother did read C-MY and DoA-MY carefully once they were published, and she offered comments on both. When we published DoA-MY, this required significant effort on her part over multiple days, as her powers of concentration had been hampered by a recent treatment. She also distributed DoA-MY in her shul.
