@RoryAlsop @ChristopherEstep To be honest I feel that the rep requirement is way to low for the Review queue's

9:00 AM
@RaoulMensink I don't think it is a matter of reputation. I'm less familiar with the trends on TW, but on other site(s), I have seen some lemmings issues too.
I actually wrote a post somewhere where I explicitely say that if you want to vote, but don't have time to read the question entirely and write a comment to explain your rationale (or at least check whether someone did it before you), don't bother and click on "Skip".
Also sometimes questions have been refined before you (not specific of course) get to review it. And the early close voters might not have had the time to retract their votes.
And for dupes, I have a feeling that some people barely read past the title at all...

@bilbo_pingouin Honestly most of the Close votes I have seen that were nonsense are by low Reputation People or randoms from other sites.

Here I don't know, on some other site, I have seen high rep people make some blunders as well...
And you might not agree with it, but I consider that dupe vote an error as well: workplace.stackexchange.com/q/76440/38233

@bilbo_pingouin I think people sometimes see "skip" as not helping them reach their badge target for reviews
There was a meta post on it ages ago

Sure some make an mistake but I have seen one Person do an early Close vote, it got edited and then some Lemmings going: "For the Horde!!" and vtc bomb it

@RoryAlsop it's probably along the lines: with the time I "wasted" on it, I should collect it to my stats, so no skip

@bilbo_pingouin yup

9:20 AM
in any case, I don't have the rep to access the close review, so I can't be blamed on TW :D

In anycase I still feel like 3K with all the hnq users is way to low.

@bilbo_pingouin You can click "leave open" too. That doesn't cast a vote, it just essentially does the same as skip (except gives a +1 to the # you've reviewed). You can still close later.

@ChristopherEstep I know... and I use it. I also use the skip every now and then, but seldomly, to be honest...

10:04 AM
OP self-deleted, any mods around to superping him to chat or should we just leave it at this?

@RoryAlsop ^^

@puzzlepiece87 Sigh. Just. Come on people, where are the downvotes at?

@Lilienthal in your pocket :)

Am I the only one who experiences a bit of schadenfreude when my answer is hated by the querent but loved by the community?

@RichardU I usually give benefit of doubt liberally when feeling with the close queue. If I cannot find a sufficiently good reason to close, I vote to keep open. But of course, I do not follow that principle with 100 % consistency.

@MaskedMan If the question isn't blatantly off topic or spam, I tend to sit back and consider it for a while. Usually, there are plenty of other people who will close it.
Curious as to who the downvote is on this one.

Q: How can I limit or avoid social faux pas when I have a disability that makes it hard

Richard UI have Asperger's syndrome which makes it difficult for me to navigate the social aspects of the workplace, and I understand that other conditions such as depression, anxiety, et cetera can also cause difficulty in interacting with others at the workplace. I have tried several approaches in the ...

Not that I really care, but I would be interested in knowing why. Just a curiosity on my part.

I swear sometimes people try to be obtuse on purpose. headdesk

@RichardU It is a fantastic question. I can only see it downvoted for "meta" reasons, such as somebody doesn't like you.

4:25 PM
@MaskedMan I think that it's a hater. I periodically get downvotes out of the blue.

@Lilienthal only 9 more days till legendary, I guess I repcapped here again today (?)

4:58 PM
I'd pay real money to be able to downvote comments. :) /smack
I never thought suggesting that a developer make a portfolio (with expert quotation) would piss people off.

5:45 PM
@ChristopherEstep There is a new hashtag "fakeoffended" that I think you might want to look at.
I'm so glad I grew up in an age where disability was not accepted as an excuse.

@enderland Pfff, I never really had a shot so I'm afraid my heart's not in the race ;)

Folks, I'm in a pickle and need some advice
Payroll just had an internal audit and sent me a check for several grand in back pay. Clearly this is a horrible, horrible thing, but how do I turn it into a HNQ to earn that sweet TWP controversy rep?
Thanks in advance
