Hi All,
24 hours ago, by BVR
@RhysW, My main intention is, I don't want to hear through my employer, by that time it is too late for me to improve things or control things. I have been seen that some of the clients wants to be nice with consultants and they don't give much negative feedback and don't talk about much about areas of improvements in the work delivered. But when they get chance confidential channels from employers they will give real and true feedback.
Hi All,
I would like to post above question and I have described my intention also above. Just need your opinion about how constructive the question is and how much suitable it is for this site
Please provide your opinion
@Rhsyw, as you suggested I have added extra information to my question. Do you think now it is constructive? If not do you have any ideas about improvising the question?

wow, passers by seem to upvote this SO question (and its multiple answers) like crazy: stackoverflow.com/questions/22146094/…

8:42 AM
@BVR Is it your job to manage client relations? Have you spoken to your boss about whether or not he agrees that getting feedback from the client is a good idea?
Even if the client does give feedback you can't act on that and that alone because the client doesn't employ you, your current company decides what is best for you to do not the client, so you will need your companies approval anyway

Q: My coworkers don't clean the toilet after themselves

Nate KerkhofsWe have 1 men's toilet + 1 urinal at work for about 15-20 people and 1 women's toilet for 3-4 females. The problem we have is that some of the employees don't check if everything has been flushed properly and that the bowl is clean. According to the employees working here for a few years, this ...

to those unhappy with too much attention brought into recent shit'n'coffee questions of ours, here's a bunch of recent SO questions that could help "redirect" a pressure from passers by if upvoted as enthusiastically as at TWP: stackoverflow.com/questions/22191589 stackoverflow.com/questions/22182669 stackoverflow.com/questions/22146094 and, maybe stackoverflow.com/questions/22164036

@gnat I wonder how long it'll take until people start getting called out for serial upvoting
:)
since there's a script to auto-protect a question with so many down-voted answers, maybe there should also be one to auto-close as too broad when a certain amount of up-voted answers is reached

@Braiam why not. wait that's not the best reason for something

@enderland context...

2:09 PM
@Braiam I have no idea what you're asking, I wasn't really providing a serious answer... I have no idea why someone would, either

@CMW eternity, because it's not a serial voting. Serial voting suggests focus on user, not on question:
176
A: What is serial voting and how does it affect me?

animusonWhat is voting fraud? Voting fraud is when a single user continually voting (up or down) on many of your posts within a short period of time. This is not considered normal behavior and the system will not allow it. If it continues to happen between two certain IP addresses (voting each other up)...

Q: Is it technically feasible to have 2-3 aging factors for hot questions at Programmers?

Q: Project Manager asks for complete 100% confidence everytime committing code

MiroI've got an ongoing relationship with a long term business partner as a consultant where his role is project manager (task manager + direction), and my role is a contracted developer. He has a tendency to micromanage my time with his tasks and oversight, but also has a strong sense of perfection...

4:32 PM
@CMW I have similar problems being a solo dev on my project, it's impossible to fully test EVERYTHING I do for EVERY commit change :(

CMW
@enderland Oh I completely sympathize with the problem. I've had discussions like that a lot.

if I had unlimited time I would write a huge suite of tests and validate everything against them but...

That won't cover everything

nope
not to mention covering "this is how we said it should work" "oh, I guess it needs to be different" stuff ;)

@enderland I'd be tempted to punt it over here and see if it sticks. Its not bad. Might have @gnat or someone tweak the wording to try to avoid primary opinion type closes.

@enderland The right answer to that question is do automated regression testing... Thats not a TWP Answer though

I would prefer it at Programmers

how should an answer that is basically passing on an urban legend supposed to be flagged? workplace.stackexchange.com/a/20109/16

@Chad as low quality crap?
preferably in haiku or limerick...
