I was incredibly surprised to see this poster's name on the question feed for non-spam reasons (because the name itself not because I've seen spam from them)

@BenBrocka The username caught my eye on ProgSE, but all his contributions are positive there as well.

New Workplace question: How can I get my boss to buy one of these for the office? Only $8000!
@YannisRizos Yeah just seems to be a peculiar sense of humor, not spam/malicious intent

Q: How does one network at software conferences, beyond the first conversation?

Patrick SzalapskiI go to software conferences. I assertively try to meet the people I sit near and the presenters. I am often the last one to leave a session room. I have lots of good conversations and meet interesting people, and I give them my business card. In short, I do everything the answers to this oth...

Just a cryptic message for the current mods: all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. I've seen a fairly concerning lack of moderator... everything recently.

@BenBrocka Hey Ben, if you're around, I'd appreciate more details. Don't feel like you need to be cryptic. Deidara-senpaiI would politely decline an answer while passing the question back to them with, "Do you mind if I do not that answer that?" and then I would begin to consider if I really want to work there. When you are interviewing with them, you are still an outsider. If the impression they convey to an outsi...

I'm thinking out loud on this one, but the asker here is asking how he should resopnd to an inappropriate question in a job interview, and an answerer is saying "Don't! Try this instead", which How to Answer mentions as something that's acceptable for answers.
I believe that if someone asks how to grab a hot skillet, without oven mits, without burning oneself, the answer could very well be, "Don't, use an oven mit! Here are the facts, references, and specific expertise why you can't and why you should use the oven mit instead"
