A: Christian prophecies on environmental conservation and sustainability

Michael ShafferThe Bible is indeed a moral guide. We are instructed to "subdue" the earth, *26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures ...

@MichaelShaffer You say that ants contribute more to global warming than humans do; yet Scientific American reports that ants are currently being studied for their ability to capture CO2 and reduce global warming.
The greenhouse effect has been understood for more than a century. While we don't know exactly how much warming will ultimately be caused by the additional CO2 we're contributing to the atmosphere, we do know it is already having a larger effect on the climate than all natural processes combined.

Maybe Michael meant Termites. sciencemag.org/content/218/4572/563.short
Can't seem to actually see the article, unfortunately.
Found the Science article from this source: iloveco2.com/2009/04/termites-emit-ten-times-more-co2-than.html
No, I have not vetted it or even read half of it.

> Because while 200 million tonnes of CO2 [annually from volcanos] is large, the global fossil fuel CO2 emissions for 2003 tipped the scales at 26.8 billion tonnes. Thus, not only does volcanic CO2 not dwarf that of human activity, it actually comprises less than 1 percent of that value. hvo.wr.usgs.gov/volcanowatch/archive/2007/07_02_15.html
Paraphrase: CO2 is moving in and out of the atmosphere constantly in the natural carbon cycle. Human emissions are outside of that natural cycle, so it will pile up eventually, as the the carbon sinks saturate. skepticalscience.com/…
