@ratchetfreak The main differences is that yeah, you need ash too to make the Porcelain Clay, and the strings of the sieve worn out after some uses(but can be changed to last forever like 1.7.10 Ex Nihilo)

and a option for non-string mesh

in case the modpack wants to disable silkworms

Well, but there's still the early depressive game of getting enough dirt to make a few cobblestones to get your first bucket of lava for your cobble generator

and waiting on rain for the first bit of water...

I'd almost say the the extra trees from the ash should help once the starter chest of bonemeal runs out, but then again that requires 8 cobble to start with

which actually makes the initial cobblegen even more annoying to get...

As of now, this idea is really oppressive to progress because porcelain clay is gated hard to make your first lava

I would only play it if I started with a stack of bonemeal

or a easy way to smelt that isn't gated behind 8 cobble

The only thing I really liked is the wooden hammer, saves some cobble before you actually mined something

ash shouldn't be gated behind cobble, not if it's meant to function as a bonemeal substitute

Man if you need a furnace to get ash, and bonemeal to get porcelain clay, it means that you'll need at least 15 cobble trough dirt sifting

That's shitbat insane for just a start

you always needed a furnace for smelting the crucible

granted the vanilla skyblock map had the materials ready for a cobble gen so it's not that bad

but for the modded or more hardcore maps where you have just a single bit of dirt and a sapling to start...

Well, if you think you have a good startup like FTB IES like we last played, it's good

But those maps like Skyfactory that you start with a single tree and a single dirt is a bitch

and once you have a drop spawner built you don't need the ash for bonemealing anymore

The only thing I think we don't have is automation for 1.10.2... we need someone to make an actonomous activator or port Ex Astrum and Ex Compressum
