@Raphael We can, but given that this room has negligible traffic, we might as well keep the conversations here
Dedicated chatrooms for the election make sense when a site's main room gets hundreds of messages on a normal day, but not here

12:08 PM
@Gilles So we close the other one? (I asked myself the same question, but since it was staff action...)

12:20 PM
@Raphael We certainly don't do anything like that (especially since we're potentially candidates — potential candidates shouldn't do any moderation related to election discussions)

12:30 PM
@Gilles True enough. Escalated.

12:57 PM
@Raphael I'd say that this is completely unrelated to the question but fair enough.

@DavidRicherby It's not beyond the "honest mistake" threshold for me, in particular considering the "in doubt for the accused" tolerance.
Huh, I did not think of self-advertisement earlier (which we could probably not prove if it were true). I'd like to think that a person who wanted to attract attention to their preprint would be smarter about it.

@Raphael Fair enough.

1:53 PM
Huh, this part of our conversation should probably be in the election chatroom.

@Raphael You should DELETE IT!!! IT'S IN THE WRONG PLACE!!! :-D

Hehe. I would move the messages, but I don't think that's possible.
Oh, wait.
Oh, I can. So if we decide to keep the other room, we can move stuff there. Or the other way around, if we decide otherwise.
Regarding this, @DavidRicherby: thanks! I thought distinctness was not needed, but it is; duplicates + jumps could lead to the correct difference. Whoops.
Do you understand the updated question? O.o

2:16 PM
@Raphael No! It seemed to make perfect sense before the examples were added that seem to directly contradict the definition of the problem.

@DavidRicherby To be fair, the original examples were contradicting as well.
I guess we should close as unclear if the OP does not fix it soon?

@Raphael Oh, I'd not noticed the original two examples were contradictory, too! Yeah, looks like a closer.

2:54 PM
Ahh, gap := #missing elements
Should have kept my adversary-argument proof which now works...

Yeah, I just edited that comment into the question to clarify it.

@DavidRicherby Thanks.
Updated my answer.
