hey @terdon I'm so grateful to your bounty, in fact I've already gotten an answer. What concerns me is that there is actually no answer here. It's essentially restating my question. Do you think this could be AI generated?

@J-Cake you're right about it being a non-answer, at least. I've flagged it into the review queues for now.

Okay amazing. What happens when they determine it to be a non-answer? does it just get removed?

Yep!

Whats up el hefe?

@JeffSchaller I deleted it (cc @J-Cake). It wasn't providing an answer.

@jesse_b heya jesse_b! Keepin' on keepin' on. Just helped my son mow the lawn; may be one of his summer chores (and one off my list!)

@JeffSchaller Nice how old is he? I recently got a new zero turn mower and my boys love going for rides on it but my oldest is only 5 so at least a couple years away from cutting the grass
He has a john deere powerwheel he drives around after me on while I'm mowing though

@jesse_b I have a really old riding mower, so he didn't get to start small with a push mower; had to wait until his legs could reach the brake on rider, so we started last year when he was 12, showing him the controls.

@JeffSchaller How long do you think before the fun wears off and it becomes a chore?
Honestly I still enjoy mowing my lawn since I got that zero turn. It used to take me upwards of 6 hours and now it takes less than 2

@jesse_b well, I'd love for it to be a chore, but I think we're working our way towards it being a paid service. He's getting motivated by money lately, so this is a good opportunity to show him what earning money looks like, not just spending money :)

@JeffSchaller Yeah I want to introduce allowance to my kids as like a pay per task thing but neither of them really care for money yet other than coins are shiny

@jesse_b yeah, it's tricky; we started with a short list of "household contributions" (emptying the dishwasher, emptying the trashes, vacuuming, etc) that each kid would be responsible for; we personally weren't fans of the "free" allowance idea, so now we're trying to come up with paid chores

6:50 PM
I think it could help to have each task be paid individually so it's not just "do all your chores and you get $n". I could make up a list like dishes are $3, taking out the trash is $2, etc
of course with inflation it's probably going to cost me like $20 to get some dishes done

... and whether you can 100% delegate the chore (maybe that's just me); I want to come up with a whole checklist of things, just for mowing (fuel? oil? tires aired up? etc)
speaking of family, time for a video call; enjoy the rest of your weekend!

You too
